Jo Ann, where do you see that Young's is closed? They ship semps year round. I've received them in Jan & Feb. I don't see anything on their web site about being close? Please don't make me cry. Sad I love that nursery.

I love Martha (North Hills Nursery) to pieces, she is such a wonderful person to do business with. I get new plants from her every year. Same with SMG. I have not tried Santa Rosa. Can you give us a link Jo Ann?

Hurray! Arif, you have semp seeds? Hurray! I can't wait to see the tiny babies come to life.

Yes I got the seeds somehow but these days a family of wild kittens seem to have taken over my garden and they are digging everything like mad. My spaniel by the way is a pacifist so I have to think of some way to get rid of this kitty problem. I and cats don't get along.
Regards,
Arif.

How sad, thank you for the link Jo Ann. They sound like really nice people. Lots of nurseries have gone under due to the economy. Sure hope things pick up soon.

That is why I encourage every one to support our nurseries through purchases. Trading is so much fun, but if we don't buy from the nurseries, they too will be closing their doors.
But you already know that Jo Ann. : )

Lynn...maybe I should buy that sedum, or those couple - or 3...and support my local (ish) nursery! (SMG)
Hurray!

nodding I agree
I can't wait to get my order from SMG. I have everything ready for their arrival. Camera included.

And I just got this email from Cynda (Perennial Obsessions):
We hired a professional to help us build a better site. So we are in the process of doing that right now. We hope to have it up and running (with full inventory) by the middle of February.

I can't wait to see the new web site and inventory. I know she has been working at adding many new semps varieties. I can feel the excitement already, and I haven't even seen the new site yet. Hurray!

WELLLLLL I just found YOUNGS succulents and semps.
Fantastic selection.
I am definatly ordering from them.
DD and I want to do small gardens in gift baskets we get and dont want to throw away. The deeper ones get planted with annuals but the shallow ones would make a nice semp garden.

Is there a glossary of words current at ATP somewhere? What is a DH and DD?

Those are short word for Dear Husband and Dear Daughter.
SIL is Son in Law etc.
It usually refers to family members and friends.

Jo Ann, what do you use for sister-in-law?

Oh boy, I am looking forward to seeing which ones you get Jo Ann. And what a great way to re-purpose gift baskets. I look forward to seeing photos.

I tip my hat to you. Got it and I can also understand why there is no DS. DS's are normally a pain in the wrong place, DD's are more loving. A matter of sugar and spice versus puppy dogs tails. Keep a puppy's tail in a tube for a hundred years but it will still come out crooked.
Lynn Confused .

Ahhhh, yes Arif? Big Grin

I have two wonderful DS. With straight tails. Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing

Ooooh, Jo Ann, all are great choices. Sedum 'Limelight' is related to Ogon, and another great choice. Seems to be a bit hardier than Ogon.

I love Chocolate Drop and Cape Blanco. I have both.
