We don't have humid, muggy weather here at all.
When I lived in MS, that was humid, hot and muggy during summer. Also had summer thunder storms, with occasional tornados.

Bev how did a vertical hanging frame get wet? If they are outside is it not possible to put something like a shower curtain type window curtain(plastic) to protect them? Maybe on a rail and just slide it in front at night. Should look good to.
Regards,
Arif.

I take the vertical frames down to lay flat and rotate them for sun exposure from different angle. These frames are against the brick wall and get very little sun during certain season. Sometimes when they are down, the rain hits them and then when the colder nite temps hit a few days later (when I may have forgotten to protect with frost/shade cloth) there's the risk of rot...

It took me a couple of years to make peace with myself over memory problems.
Thats why I am obsessive about notes and files.

I agree Cute avatar! I began using "notes" on my phone, so I no longer have them all over but they're often cryptic so I have to remember what the note means! Rolling on the floor laughing

That is a beauty Jo Ann. What do you have on your list so far?

I have Orostachys and some of the sedum that are deciduous, that are coming out of dormancy.

It does very well here, until the slugs find it. They can eat an entire rosette in one night. I will have to line my container rims with copper to see if I can keep them out of the pots. Also put a copper fence around the ones in the raised beds.
It is so odd that they only eat the spinosa, none of the other species of Orostachys.

Its odd they would be selective. I didnt know they would cross a sandy soil.
Where do you buy your plants.

I am making progress.Romence Gardens has a large selection of semps good for my zone

Very pretty Jo Ann!!
Back east closer to you there is NorthHills nursery, and they seem to love their semps!! They're in W.Virginia and seem very down to earth, personally I like supporting small family businesses. When I first went to their website and saw some of the photos marked with "not available we lost our stock in last years storm" or something quaint like that, I knew I wanted to give them some business Thumbs up Although just down in OR we have SMG (squaw mountain gardens) as well as Young's - so I've only ordered from them because they're so much closer!
Happy gardening!
You probably know this but recently I read an article where they stated that most plants lost in winter is due to not watering, people think that because its cold that its also wet, so do water, just not a large amount each time - or as often Hurray!

Feeling so left out. In the morning I plant those Semp seeds sitting on my table grinning at me. Enough is enough of laziness.

Hurray! (don't go to either SMG, or Young's or Northhill's nursery! websites because the temptation may be too much for you! Just a warning!! Blinking )
