Good morning to all. The flowers will take a little longer to open this morning it's so cool outside.
Teresa,Thanks for the compliments, I love my flowers. I like Vanilla Gorilla very much. It is another daylily hybridized by a New Englander, Mike Huben. It stands up straight and tall and does not flop. It has good branching and bud count and ends up blooming a long time and is hardy. It does not have the elegance of Scandinavia or Isabelle Rose but it's a definitely a keeper in my garden.

Oooh, that Caesar Augustus is a dormant and a real looker. May have to try and find that one, and it is tall.

Good evening to all. I hope everyone had a good day. Cindy, Caesar Augustus has a scape that is about 27" tall. It was hybridized by a dear friend and great hybridizer, Phil Reilly who unfortunately passed away last December.
Karen, Sultry Girls has very sturdy scapes and there was no flopping over on these 'Girls" and they have been loaded with buds. You can purchase it from the hybridizer, Judy Davisson.

This daylily has been blooming in my garden for a few weeks now but I have hesitated to post it because it has so much personal meaning to me but I do want to share it with you all. This daylily is, Diana Cooke Tuppeny, named after my dear sister who passed away suddenly last December. Curt Hanson, a good friend and wonderful hybridizer who I know many of you are familiar with, kindly named this beauty after her. Diana admired Curt's dayliles very much and I know she would have been thrilled to have this one named for her, I know I am.

It is beautiful! I too, lost my sister this past Feb to a rare cancer. She was my dearest gardening pal. We had so much fun touring gardens together. I miss her so much. Thanks for sharing the pics, Karin.

I don't have pictures to post, but I have more flowers still blooming than ever before. I don't know why that is but I am certainly enjoying them.

Usually by this time of year there is nothing left, but I have done tons of watering this year which seems to be doing the trick. Love looking at all your beautiful flowers.

Teresa, when I read your post my eyes filled up with tears as I know exactly how you feel. My sister and I shared a life long love of flowers and gardening. It was our passion!
