Great! I'm glad you like it. They got bought out by the Weather Channel this last Feb--not sure if that's a good or bad thing yet. Check your Tree Mail in a few minutes.

I'd be interested in that weather site, too.

I've been using the weather underground site for quite a while. It's the only place I've found that forecasts the dew point in anything less than 24 hour increments. When you don't have air conditioning, that's far more important than temperature for regulating inside comfort.

Yikes. I hope that site never changes...

crittergarden: That site is www.wunderground.com. A global weather portal. It's good for gardeners in the North because we can pick a 'personal weather station' very close by, and by viewing the dew point about an hour after sunset, we can pretty accurately predict our low temperature for the next morning. For us lily growers, the relationship between the dew point and a frost becomes very important in the Spring just as the new shoots break the surface. Most personal weather stations have an update system called 'rapid fire' which reports new data every 3 to 6 seconds, including dew point. The weather and gardening have a very close relationship which is all too often overlooked or taken for granted by many.

Excellent, THANK YOU!
Thumbs up

Pittsburgh TV weather always errs on the side of panic that someone's hair might get wet.
If there might be a 3 minute drizzle in some small area nearby, they put the rain logo on the forecast for the day.
I've learned to ignore them and just water anyway.

I LOVE the personal weather station availability.
Would have one in my yard if I could afford the equipment!

Oh--come on now--it's a fun time of the year up here in N. America, too; getting our gardens ready for Fall planting and checking out all the websites, trying to make our minds up of what to get and how many! That's fun! Just last night I visited all the usual sites to see if anything new was added. Still waiting on two places to list: Hartle-Gilman so I can get my Chocolate Cannary and Hallson Gardens for some more Dwarfs--to force and pot up for something early. Now is a good time to get a new Spring garden ready too so it can 'normalize' over winter. And, how about all those good deals on seasonal closeouts of garden tools and supplies at these 'big box' places just so they can make room for Christmas items? It's a great time!

But, I think we all would like to be in Tasmania, too! And Anthony gives us all those really nice updates to inspire our imagination of what it's like at his place. And we love it, Anthony! Hurray! Hurray!

It's time to dig, plant and transplant lilies.

Do stop and smell the roses. Lily bulbs are beautiful things!

I had to move a few bulbs too ~ here are some 4-story bulbs that probably should have been divided a little sooner. Took me a good long while to get them apart.
