I HAVE TO check my pods every day. Some bird (I think) has discovered it likes to eat the seeds! If I wait too long, there would be nothing left...
I do like the birds, though, and it's been so peaceful most of the summer without the robins making such a fuss. The chickadees, especially, are quite a joy. I hope they aren't the culprits.
Never a slow moment gardening here, either. Today I spent most of the day repotting, cataloging, photographing two and three year old Frittillaria species seedling bulbs. And I am playing with two new potting mixes: Fafard 52 mix for most of the frits and a coir based Metro 360 for F. camschatcensis. I'll start on potted lily seedlings (that have gone dormant) tomorrow if all works out.
