Just watched again: Traffic, 2000, IMDB 7.6. Long, loaded with stars. Ready to see it again. Just made a list of Benicio del Toro movies I need to download.

Prime: Troop Zero. Meh but slightly entertaining.
The Kid. Enjoyed the western-Not-A-Western.
Solver. Indie film. Cheesy but kept you guessing...sorta.

Saw a reference to the movie Nightcrawlers. I missed it the year it came out, but have recorded it on the TiVo. It stars Jake Gyllenhall(sic) so I'm not sure of the actor previous poster is talking about. I will watch it and try to figure it out. Didn't watch Joker last night, scheduled for tonight. Has anyone ever seen Source Code with Jake G and Vera Farmiga, I think? I own it and watch it often. Love this movie. Could this really be possible in the future?
Love Joaquin Phoenix as an actor. Every character he plays in his movies is very intense. Have him in an earlier movie of his called signs with Mel Gibson. Not your usual Alien movie. The two children in that movie nearly steal the whole show, hard to do with Mel and Joaquin!

I watched "Troop Zero" too, cute but not as good as I thought it would be. Nice lesson for kids and acceptance of others.

I'm not a football fan and even less so after watching "Killer Inside: The Mind of Aaron Hernandez" on netflix. My son recommended it and I knew nothing about it...it was very good. Thumbs up Thumbs up

Heard about that, too. Sounds very compelling. I will probably have to record it, I'm starting the gardening season now, not much time for watching tv or movies!

My eyes read that as Traffic... long loaded with cars...

Sweetheart. Stranded alone on an island. I kept talking through most of the movie telling her what to do! LOL

Traffic, good movie. Benecio rocks! Anyone seen him in that movie about the Mexican drug cartels? The one with Josh Brolin and Emily Blount? Sicarro, I think the name was. Tight, tense performance. Watched the Joker last night. I think Joaquin will get his Oscar at last, unless the Academy picks dark horse Antonio Wish the Joker would get best movie, but probably go to 1917.

Watched Shot Caller tonight. Intense but pretty good. About prison life and gang life. Hard to watch sometimes but realistic to me. Sad to think this rally goes on IRL.

Prime : Midsommer. Wierd. You gotta watch it twice. Not because it's good, but because it will take watching it twice to figure it out! Weird. Just WEIRD!

Enter Nowhere (leaves Prime Jan. 31st so hurry!) Bad young actors with names you'll recognize trying to make a name for themselves in a terrific story.

Yes, Midsommer had a big build up and some rave reviews. Serious disappointment, IMO.

Older prime movie, Edge of darkness. Mel Gibson. DH said weve seen it before? If so, I have a bad memory from just 10 years ago. But it was good....again? LOL

Cheryl, not familiar with that Mel Gibson movie... a little tease on the plot please? He sure likes to stretch the limits... as a director, anyway. I own Apocalypto, watch it frequently. Have Midsommar on the to see list because nearly all the local critics have it on their best of the years lists. Watching my recordings of Guardians of the Glades, reality show following good ole boys in Florida that are professional constrictor hunters... and to think I used to think I wanted this kind of snake as a pet! @gardenfish I know Midsommer got great ratings. I just don't see why?? DH and I kept looking at each other like, "What the..?"

Edge of Darkness. I took this from Google cuz I don't know how much to tell before I give the whole movie away! LOL "When the only daughter of a Boston homicide detective, Thomas Craven (Mel Gibson), is shot on his doorstep, everyone assumes that he was the intended target. Then evidence suggests otherwise, and Craven sets out to find her killer and, in the process, uncovers her secret life, corporate coverups, government collusion, and murder."

Just watched a new genre for me. Film noir comedy I might say. Dick Tracey meets Gruesome, 1947, IMDB 6.2. Boris Karloff. At one point in the movie a character is asked what the bad guy looked like - he looked so weird you'd think we were chasing Boris Karloff. It is about A. Tomic physicist and his assistant I.M Learned. Lots of the action takes place in the Wood Plastics, Inc. plant. One bad guy is called Xray. There's Melody. At one point they crash into the Y. Stuffum Taxidermist shop. Great fun.

Vikings is one of my favorite shows . I think I have watched the Ice Maiden episode 3 times already. It is in it's final season, but did you see Netflix is going to do a follow up series.

Bob, didn't know that! I don't do Netflix; may have to now. I really couldn't say which is my favorite episode; one was when the Frankish king was tortured for killing Ragnar, the episode when they performed the eagle wings torture on him. The most impressive was the one with Lagaerthas funeral. Others would include some of the big battle scenes. One of those coming up to end the season. Can't understand why they would not continue the series when they are ending this season at a pivotal point in the story concerning the clash between the Scandinavian Vikings and the Rus, but then again, look where they ended GOT!
