My son showed up here this AM. Only time is when he wants something...still trying to figure that out this time. He has eaten enough to feed an army with dirty dishes to match. No help with things mentioned...just shower, eat and pass out on couch...lucky for him Dixie is going with the flow. But damnit...what do you want this time...poop or get off the pot. I would hope so...he's 43 now and when I've put my foot down in the past it really didn't seem to matter to him...basically all it did was make me feel guilty. The idea of selling this place and moving closer to my daughter is rather appealing right now.🤔😏

Bummed out! I had the last test for my gastrointestinal issues today. I wasn't surprised when I was told that I have the bacterial overgrowth in my small intestine again. Antibiotics were ordered, but when I checked with the pharmacy...WOW! Apparently it was a VERY expensive antibiotic...and even the copay was going to be $500 or so. No, I don't think so! It's not like I have some kind of rare antibiotic -resistant bug or something.

We're going to look into this. We have very good medical coverage, so we're certainly not used to this. I'll have to check with the doctor and Meds by Mail, which just might cover the whole cost so long as I can wait for it to get here. It caught us by surprise, on a Friday, toward the end of the month when we're low on funds. The doctor should have brought this up, knowing the drug ordered is very expensive and doesn't have any generics in the US. The last time I had SIBO years ago, it wasn't a problem...I took an inexpensive antibiotic. I don't even know if this med is necessary yet. I've heard about GoodRX, but haven't needed to try it. Sometimes I just go and ahead and use a local pharmacy to get meds right away (even though I pay 25% of the price that way) instead of waiting for Meds by Mail to send a medication by mail. It makes me mad that nobody brought this up until I contacted the pharmacy.

Good Rx helped me. I get my meds at Walmart and a new one ordered was gonna cost me 6 hundred...the associate checked good rx... under 30 dollars. All I have for insurance is basic medicare.

I saw really good coupon online for some who can't afford the drug. Only thing, with government medical coverage, you're not able to use it. But not to worry, Meds by Mail is sending the med to me...gratis.

Well, here's the thing. I actually have H. pylori with ulcers. And yet this requires a whole new set of medications than SIBO. So this time I actually bit the bullet, so to speak, and spent more than two hundred dollars on capsules containing 3 different meds, as well as a separate omeprazole generic. One way Pharma companies make money is creating a "new" combo med by combining older meds. Haha! And yet, not funny. No. I'm just a victim in this. Oh well. The important thing is that someday this, too, will pass. If my body was a product it would be subject to recall. Also, after a few weeks of blessed relief from back pain, it started returning in the last week...just partially returned. I saw the PA at the clinic, and well, she held out hope that maybe it will improve, but if not...? Sounded like they don't have a Plan B if that happens. She gave me a new prescription for pain pills.

My son called this morning about a used fridge sitting in my way in the screen room...asked me to plug it in for a 1/2hour to see if it would start to get cold and he'd be by in 1 hour to get it. Well let the damn thing run 2 hours and it didn't even think about getting cold. It's been over 4 hours since he called..when I texted to ask was he still coming he went off on me. 😡😡😡 it's been one of those days when I wish his sister was an only child!! Thank all ya'll for letting me vent....big courtesy..lol

I'm tired of having to deal with balky, ill designed user unfriendly websites. It's not as if I'm computer illiterate; far from it. I bought a moto 6 phone from my cable provider, Altice, formerly known as Suddenlink. Wow, $20.00 a month unlimited for life, and they financed the phone with no interest. The hitch? In order to get the password to unlock the voicemail I had to go to their online site to do this. Anyone ever have to deal with a company that outsources their customer service to a foreign country? Suspect this was the case. The chat involved people who clearly spoke English as a second language. Website had too many menus, too many menu choices, the home screen was cluttered, etc. After MANY attempts, I gave up and took the phone in to my local office. The customer service rep fixed it in about 30 seconds.
