About screwed up mail, has anybody got their census form sent back to them? Well, I waited until the gov sent the actual form in the mail. Not online. It clearly showed how it should be sent back to the Census Bureau. In the return envelope there is this window in the envelope. It showed in the illustration how you put the barcode in the larger side of the window. So I did. Now it was sent back to me. I thought something must be wrong and it wanted an answer cleared up, so I opened the envelope up. Nope, no letter or note from the Census Bureau. Apparently, they never got it. The USPS sent it back. They scanned the barcode in the window and thought it was the "send to" address. How did I figure that out? My address was not even on the envelope anywhere...the USPS apparently weren't familiar with the protocol used by the US Census Bureau and thought that barcode was the "send to" field. So I got a marker and put a big fat X over that window with the barcode and wrote all over the envelope to send it to the address under the left side of the window. Think USPS will figure it out? They won't be able to scan the code again, so they better! I'm so pissed off at the government, who thought the USPS would be able to figure that out! I mean, is there ANYTHING that the government does RIGHT??? I'm wondering if we will ever have a functional government again.
