They are sweet! and have a lot of the silver blond I often see in most Yorkies. Kasey stayed all black on her body with the brown on her legs and face with just a bit of light tips. And forget about getting any cute bows on her, it's not gonna happen, ever, she puts up such a major fight and fuss I was afraid she's get injured.

This was my mom & dad's little Yorkie, Annabelle. She stayed this color until she died as an old dog. That is our Rat Terrier with her, the two loved hunting gophers together. The were great friends.

Talk about some beautiful country. I love it. I truly do love it. If you have a closer or bigger shot of the yellow tree, to me it looks like a "Sunburst" locust. I just bought one. They're the only locust to keep the true yellow all season. They have blah fall foliage but can't beat the other 2 seasons. If it's not a Sunburst, then try a Princeton Gold Maple. Another tree I want, but don't have a space big enough to support a tree that big w/all my other trees. I love the odd trees.

Why anyone wouldn't want to live there is beyond me. Talk about a gorgeous area. *sigh*

Zuzu, there are so many nieces and nephews, I'm not sure which one it is. That bassinet has been through 3 generations though.

I wish I could grow those Himalayan poppies. I've tried and they just refuse to grow here.

I feel your pain zuzu. I never have any luck with them here either

I hate it when something so beautiful such as those Himalayan Poppies have such a deceptive name.. thinking of the Himalayas, I was thinking that perhaps they'd grow here. No such luck.. good in zones 6-8. Oh well.

wait a minute.. DG says zone 3. Park Seed says zone 6. WTH? Poppies grow very well here... hmm.. maybe I should try it anyways?

I'll always try about anything once. I've wasted some large amounts of gardening money that way, but still thought it was worth it to try. Go for it :)

Weezingreens grows beautiful ones in Alaska. She used to post them in the DG Alpines Forum every year.

Well if they will do good in Alaska, maybe the will do good in Denver...worth a try! :)

After heading north, we stopped at a nursery in Oregon, (Dancing Oaks) where I got to meet floraSeeker_OR, (GardenGuyKin on DG). Forgot to take a picture with him, I just took a few shots at the wonderful nursery before heading out for a 2 hr shoot at the famous Schreiner's Iris Garden. He did get one of me though
