Hurray! When I was working outside today I think I noticed buds on my obovata too ... going to check to be sure that's what I saw!

You all best believe I'm keeping a bud inventory over here and checking them regularly. I have buds on the aforementioned linearis, DS-70, carnosa, shepherdii, and Sipitangensis BUT I'm not counting my buds before they're hatched. I've lost two linearis peduncles and a lacunosa peduncle this year and it's not cool.
My blooming green carnosa is and always has been lime green, by the way. No matter what the light conditions are. Is that weird?

Have you got a picture of your green carnosa?

The original Wax Plant (Hoya carnosa) has solid green leaves, sometimes with gray flecks:

Years ago I had both Krimson Queen and Krimson Princess Hoya (Hoya carnosa 'Rubra') revert to solid green leaves.

My "Princess" has some solid green leaves. They make a nice contrast.

My Hindu Rope has four sets of buds in progress now. First should open in a few days, the rest are 1-3 weeks behind.

And my Bella has at least two sets in progress! I just got this one in December, I've been shocked at how fast it's grown and totally didn't expect flowers already!

Gina, yours is a "queen." The varigation on the edges of the leaves is the difference. "Princess" varigation is in the middle. Chocolate scented flowers coming your way! Romalu, your flowers look great. I can't keep the mealys off my "rope" long enough for it to grow!

Just saw this! Not the best picture but here it is. Lost a chance at blooms because my son came barreling around the corner and didn't duck for the orchid blooms which toppled into the Hoya and slammed it to the ground. It's alive but it smashed the bloom to bits Crying

And...CATS. I finely got smart about the alure of my indoor plants and grew cat grass. Now when he jumps up on my plant table full of hoya, he just wants to munch on his oat grass.

Those orchids are like a couple of octopuses...octopi? What's the plural of octopus? That's what they are with all of their crazy arms. The carnosa needs to be put on a trellis because it's a bit unruly but the shepherdii above it is about to open blooms any day and I don't want to do anything until that's happened. I did get my strange thin leafed Hoya to bloom.
Thumb of 2020-05-03/Adriennevs/8fe365
It's a teeny little thing.
Then my linearis dropped another peduncle and my lacunosa grew another peduncle. And DS-70 is in month 4 of developing the never ending peduncle. There's all sorts of Hoya drama over here besides just kids and cats. The Hoya have minds of their own 🤷‍♀️

Hi Lalabaka, Welcome!

Beautiful bloom! It looks like Wax Plant (Hoya carnosa) ... fragrance is usually detected early to late evening and at night.

My Longifolia buds. The plant has spurs all over but seems to drop buds until now. Keep your fingers crossed. Crossing Fingers!
