A couple of weeks ago we did a thread on Joe Ghio's iris with lots of pictures of his intros. There seemed to be quite a bit of interest. How about one of Keith Keppel's Iris. If I post a picture of one you have I would like to see your pictures also. Here are pictures of the ones I grow.

Paul those are great pictures especially like the one of Gitano, I too really like his plants I can always count on him to introduce exceptional plants they always grow and do well here for me. I have a lot of pictures of his recent ones that I took this spring. Do you prefer close ups of the flower or clump shots?

I don't have many Keppels -- I don't know why -- they're beautiful. But I have a couple:

Happenstance:

Opposing Forces:

I also have *Gitano* -- it's in a holding bed -- it didn't bloom this year (first year). I haven't decided whether to move it, or leave it where it is for another year.

I want *Reckless Abandon* -- will get that in a couple years when the price drops. I think I ordered *Gypsy Lord* this year -- maybe from Dee?

*Secret Rites* is stunning. It's going on my *want list*!!

I love seeing all these beauties. Great pictures, guys! And it's exciting to see pictures of JOVIALITY and STRAWBERRY SHAKE, newbies for me that I will hopefully get to see bloom next spring. And when I started searching through my IPhoto I was amazed to discover that I have or have had so many more Keppel irises than I ever thought!

What a great response and wonderful pictures...I like shots of the individual flower, of the stem to see bud placement, and love clump shots. Of these pictures my favorites were Mary Ann's of Happenstance which I think was a runner-up for the Dykes one year, Brads shot of Friendly Advice which is on my want list for next spring, Strawberry Shake which I got this year and the wonderful clump shot of Venetian Glass, and Betty's shot of Dykes winner Florentine Silk and BB Imbroglio which I hope I can find next spring.
Tom...We'll look forward to your pictures when you have time.

They're all so beautiful! I guess I'll be adding *Imbroglio*, *LaScala*, *Russian Violet* and *Flame Amber* to my never-ending wishlist!!

Unfortunately, 'Happenstance' doesn't do well for growers i this area. 'Strawberry shake' with a different background might do better. Might order it for the club next year.

Paul Friendly Advice was my favorite of his new intros this year it really has a nice color to it and the plants were big and healthy. He has created so many good ones over the years and a lot of them are very unique with the different beard colors and the plicatas are fun I am excited to see what he intros from those lines.

Nice pictures Brad. I planted Royal Majesty this year as I didn't have any in that color range. I got Ghost Writer as a bonus. I think Haunted Heart, Ghost Writer, and Friendly advice are some what similar but all worthy. His pink Kitty Key was one of the last to bloom in my garden.....your clump shots are magnificent. As everyone probably knows Keith Keppel only keeps his own things in his catalog for 3-4 years. Then we have to find them else where.
