Reason I was referred to an online doc was because I was not welcome in the doctor's office because I was coughing. Actually I preferred the teledoc as I did not want to be around others right now either.

Got my teladoc card on fridge. I would for sure want to opt for that.

So my kid texted....her sig other is a student worker at Ringling...the school is of course closed...so they have kind of been 'let go'? She depended on that job her entire school career for rent and food, that and her financial aid. After 4 years they just say 'sorry'?
And my kid was off work for a bit and supposed to go back today....they won;t let her go back with out a doctor's note and her doctor went on vacation...? So her sig other is applying to Subway, at least they can get a free sandwich if she works there. And what is going to happen with financial aid? If you aren't in school what happens?

What a mess, so many are going to be negatively impacted. We have no idea of the extent yet.

Wow thats too bad, Im guessing that will be a common story Gina. On the bummer side, I was just up getting my hair cut and subway...NY pizza, not a car in sight, of course it was mid afternoon, not really eating time, ,hope they doing better down there.. Went to publix, got some steaks for the grill and the manager would not let me buy them because I had three. Well all other steaks are packaged in twos so just took myslef right back to the meat dept and had them do the same for those. My daughter who works at panera is just catching on that your not gunna get what you want at the store, so I was able to pick her up some stuff altho no pasta, or fresh anything today in the fruit and veggie dept. Guy says only one truck a day for veggies, and comes in the morning so Ill catch up with that tomorrow or the next day. This staying in is alot of work.

Man you need to go to a different publix. The only thing ours was out of that I could tell was toilet paper and publix brand eggs, they had a limit of 2 on eggs, milk, bread and stuff like that but I bought chicken thighs, ribs and hamburgers for my husband so he has food for a week, pasta was BOGO so we will have pesto one night. They also were not making the rotisserie food but the deli was open and had everything. I also got apples and bananas but they had other fruit

I have four Publix stores just a ten minute drive, East, West, North and South of me, also a Walmart food store, Fresh Market, Sprouts...so I should be able to find food items I need, going to day, so we'll see.

Gina, sorry about your daughter's job, hope she can find another soon. My middle son coming over for dinner tonight, he's usually so busy we never get to see him, but he's off the next three days due to cancelled events. This is a photo my eldest son that blogs for Disney took on the last night they were open, crazy. Needless to say, that son and DIL not invited to dinner tonight.

Not crazy...it was a blast. Did he mention you couldnt move without them wiping down after you. Monorail...train..rides..you get up and they wipe before anyone sits down. Not that I saw anyone coughing or such. The characters were roaming free just like the old days, and that Falcon ride at universal...well I know nothing about star wars and it was awesome. One last drop on tower of terror just in case it was my last trip to see the mouse.
I guess after noon today we will be waiting in line for food as thats when the 50 person capcity..including employees goes into effect.
Called the Dr. for some Ativan so I could get a pneumonia shot, well it doesnt work for pneumonia from covid, its a streptococis? type pneumonia shot so I said skip it. Basically jut going to bank today too get a little cash if I have any left because I dont want to have to start waiting in cash machine lines for money. Blessings to all.

Are all the fast food places in gainesville going drive up only? I was told panda express was drive up only.

I know panera has been for awhile, not sure about the others. Bars closed.... I was at cracker barrel yesterday and they said they were not closing, but wont have a choice if ordered too. Same with texas roadhouse. Ummm wonder about Jasons, Ill have to check that. No drive thru but maybe just take out and delivery. Good excuse to be lazy except you probably have to wait forever.

Everywhere we like has take out except maybe the TOP and they might have to adapt unless they want to go broke

I guess anyone out of work can get a job delivering. Well if gas stations dont close.

I suggested to the gym they close down and open their daycare facility to working parents who cant work and take care of their kids. Not ure they liked that idea. They are collecting food so it seemed logical to me. So far they have shut down pool and anything with water..hot tubs, spin class and I believe cross fit classes.
