We were at Wards Market today and they had all the food anyone could want. I don't know about bleach, hand sanitizer, Lysol Wipes and that stuff, we are not buying that stuff. But if you want food, its there. Public had food yesterday too.

French Prime Minister Édouard Philippe announced Saturday that starting at midnight Saturday, all nonessential businesses — including cafes, restaurants and movie theaters — would be closed until further notice. Banks, gas stations, supermarkets and pharmacies will remain open.

Our Publix has a little of everything except toilet paper. That aisle is flat out empty. Shrug! I am told people used to use old Sears catalogs in their outhouses, we may have to start saving junk mail. Hilarious! Hilarious! Hilarious!

A Facebook friend who spent time in Desert Storm as a Marine recommends leaves LOL. Where they got leaves in the desert, don't ask me.

Only thing I saw was sand, sand and more sand, maybe the plastic packs from the MREs, but boy that would be slippery!

Yeh I think the leaves were more common in my father's time, he spent 5 tours in Viet Nam in the freaking jungle. I often think about that are wonder....were they aware of all the natural beauty around them during the war? The palms, the orchids, the blooming vines? Probably a plant lovers dream, too bad it was such a place of killing

I am of the "older" " ok boomer" generation! I gladly admit!
I urge all of my fellow "old folks"...
Remember "Eve of destruction", by Barry McGuire?
I urge you... Listen to it anew!

I remember that protest song from the Vietnam Era of the 1960's; some radio stations banned it from the airways.

Yes they did!
Sadly!
Why is it that people don't want to hear the truth!
Or are afraid of the truth!

My DH was a corpsman in /of the Vietnam era...laid his life on the line....And now, when our people are most in need, we, "second guess", and think that if we just wash our hands, and sanitize to the best of our ability, we'll be fine! No big deal!

I recall fondly Country Joe and the Fish at Woodstock....
Well its 1-2-3 what're we fighting for? Don;t ask me I don;t give a dam the next stop is Viet Nam. And its 5-6-7 open up the Pearly Gates.....

SO what're all you doing since there's nothing to do on a Saturday night? We cooked by the pool, hubby grilled a steak, I had a yummy hummus wrap and some home made veggie soup and we split a bottle of the Prisoner....

I am making a piece for an upcoming show, to honor Earth Day on April 22 hopefully things can get back to normal by then....its a guardian of the Rainforest piece. Something to while away the hours in the reality of the Coronavirus restrictions

I have another piece already made, a Goddess piece, for my second entry in the show. I do a lot of earth themed/mythology based art on a regular basis. This is another piece I made for another show, its a beadwork mixed media assemblage piece based in the 14th century drawing on the Philosopher's Hand/Seven Secrets. Because a girl has to have a hobby besides gardening LOL. These photos are not good. I have to take some better ones to submit to the Jury.
