Some of you know Plato; if you don't he'd like to know you. He's quite outgoing, an ambassador of good will.

He is telepathic.

I made some rice krispy treats today: (a three step process, at least according to the photos haha lol)

First, 10 oz melted marshmallows and 1/4 cup melted butter (2-3 mins on stovetop):
Thumb of 2020-04-04/KFredenburg/17cf23

Then, in another bowl, stir together 6 cups of Rice Krispies and the melted mix:
Thumb of 2020-04-04/KFredenburg/b6f795

Finally, place the mix in a greased pan, and evenly sort the mix out. Then, place the pan in your refrigerator until completely cooled off:

I haven't had Rice Krispy treats in years!
Mmmmmmmmm. Smiling

BTW, I finally made Navajo Fry Bread yesterday, and.......
it was great! Big Grin

In fact, too easy, and too good. D'Oh!

I watched a few videos, then just "winged" it. Smiling

Makes 2 X 8" Fry Breads:
2/3 cup bread flour
1 Tbsp baking powder
1/8 cup sugar
1/2 tsp salt
Mix dry ingredients
Add milk until everything comes together.
If still too wet, add a little more flour until
the right consistency.....you'll know.

Knead it a few minutes, form a ball, and let
it rest 15 min.

Heat the oil while the dough is resting.
I used 325 F vegetable oil.

Cut the dough in half. Form 2 balls.
Flatten one ball to about 8 " .....make a few holes
in it, and carefully lay it in the hot oil.

Fry ~2 - 3 min per side (I like it a little darker).

Drain on paper towels. Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
Enjoy while still warm.
Can also add some lemon juice to powdered sugar.
I sprinkled with cinnamon sugar....just like a "churro". Thumbs up

Looks darker as I liberally sprinkled with cinnamon-sugar.
Thumb of 2020-04-04/EscondidoCal/59038a

I think I'll have to experiment more, e.g.
add nutmeg, and make small squares like beignets. Rolling my eyes.
Also want to add an egg, and/or butter to see if the
consistency is better. They were a little dry on the inside.

One thing.....I tried to re-heat in the microwave, but it
dried it out. Pretty hard then.

Still good, though, if you dunk it in hot coffee. Big Grin

Unfortunately, I've gone overboard with potted plants, and my DW
is not a fan of them.....a few is OK, but 20 is too many.

So have to give some away or hide them from view somehow. Rolling my eyes.
Hard to decide what to keep, as I like them all.

Get article @Cool_plant. Thanks for posting it.

Thought I would be able to get out into the yard today. It was supposed to be sunny, but so far it is gray and misting outside. My new (3rd) grow light came in yesterday for my greenhouse, so I have enough coverage now for my 172 peat pots full of seeds (24 square feet of coverage). I buy them from a company called Happy Leaf (https://happyleafled.com/) With grow lights I can assure 16 hours of high intensity, optimal spectrum light for my young seedlings. That comes in handy since the days are not long yet and we get so many dreary, gray days during Spring here.

Also spending some time learning a new song on my fiddle. It caught my attention a few days ago. Not an easy one for me, so it will take some time. It is called "Downstream". Here is the YouTube version I am learning from...

Ginger...I've never seen lunar moths. How interesting!

LOL on Dixie. When Rosie was still alive, we put this on her one Christmas. She only tolerated it until we could get a couple of pictures.
