J.D. Stadler, at Celestial Gardens has some of the darkest blacks on the market today.

The most sunfast are some of the older ones: Smith Brothers and black ambrosia. Daryl Apps' Appsian Rhapsody is pretty dark--and very sunfast with great form and flower presentation. Black twister is the most sunfast of the spidery types.

I-362 (Victorian Garden Star Bright x Vampire Fish)

I added Smith Brothers and Dakar to my garden. This year- one a red black and the other a purple black. Of course they didn't bloom this year so I don't have my own photos. I also have bela Lugosi and it's a very dark purple


And I've ordered pierces wine country which is a dark purple with yellow edges and throat

Love black/dark. Ordered Wine Country too. Got Carribean Frank League in July and a few black irises.

And in my garden it's vigorous grower with many flowers every year - bought it because I saw a foto of the cultivar in this forum years ago.

Black Pearl is a very dark one too - but it needs hot weather to show its beauty:
