Tower of Jewels has a sgl stem and i've cut 4 side shoots off this one already
the last time i let it go it had maybe a doz or more stems of blooms
and it got really big which is why i cut it down
i don't remember names but have met 2 different people in Smith River into plants
where did she post the pict of webbi ? link?
i just checked Annies and webbi looks too big
so i ordered Echium amoenum a small red one instead Smiling

i walk my dog twice a day and don't always use the same path here amongst the Redwoods
and this morning Buddy my dog disturbed a new flower i hadn't seen for some time
i have the wild Ginger Asarum-caudatum pop up in different places here on my 5 acres
and when the Deer or Elk find it they wipe it out in 1 or 2 nights
so i gathered 3 pcs of it and put in my garden to save it and will watch this new patch

Ooooo...that's neat ...and strange, Dick....
I'm glad that I've managed, after awhile to keep the deer out....
I was surprised when Terry said the elk ate 1-2 of the echiums that I gave her last year...they're 'hairy'...also glad that I don't have elk visiting me. Patrick has a problem with them at Worms....

when you get to my age you are pleasantly surprised each & every time you see one of the plants bloom whether you had noticed it yesterday or not Smiling
and this evening i noticed another one of the Trilliums was in full bloom but lighting was not good and i didn't have my camera so tomorrow i will show it to you Smiling

First thing every a.m....my camera and I go outside...and I have a zillion pics of the same plant...because when I see it anew, it (whatever) is so beautiful that I just HAVE to get that shot. I need to go through and keep only a few of the best shots of each...there is hardly ever a bad shot of a hydrangea.....or a leycesteria....or, or...

Dick, I'm 73 now, I doubt that you're doing any worse than I am....lol..

Dick, first...That's a pretty one! Second, I'm doing good if I see the new blooms at all, in some cases. When I was watering my orchids the other day, I noticed my Epiphyllums blooming, but didn't have the camera handy. Went out with the camera the next day, and all had shriveled due to the heat wave we're getting.
