I have never posted this at all--it is the #4 seedling from the Mister Butters/Mint Octopus cross. It presents with a very green cast to the flowers--I have been calling it "Mint Butters".

Avedon - There's that Blue Viper calling to me again! Tonto's Expanding Headband looks great with the poly. "Mint Butters" is looking good.

All so beautiful! @Avedon reminded me why Julianna Lynn remains on my Want List, and (tragically for my checking account) got me to add Blue Viper as a "someday."

Question: are poly FFOs normal? My two (since I learned what it means) were decidedly late in the season.

Last day of May, which is 2 days after last year's FFO, and I've had quite a few blooms. Blotchy and splotchy and thrips-riddled for sure, but lots. Still nothing from Snow Elf, which has been my FFO many years running. The ones beating it out aren't all newcomers, either!

Today I had literally 3 blooms. A FFO on Ruby Spider, a fulva, and a Happy Returns veritably crawling with thrips. That Bio-Advanced 3-in-1 needs to kick in soon. Here's Ruby Spider...not perfect, but that yellow gold reverse is something! I moved her this year, so I never even noticed that before!

I think it is Broadway Ledgend. I have it on my list as a bonus from MP Flower Gardens.

Ken - I usually get poly blooms where there is a large variance in temperature. I've seldom gotten a poly on the very first bloom, but I have on a lot of earlies. As for thrips, it's going to be a bad year for them here too. Last year I didn't have much of a problem at all. It seems like the worst years are always after mild winters.
