I was directly in the path of the remnants of Tropical Storm Bertha, so I've had rain pretty much non-stop since 9 AM. I had to go out around 7 PM, put up the extension ladder, ascend in my slicker, and dig handfuls of silver maple seed pods out of a gutter drain. The gutter was a 10' wide waterfall.
Today's pics were taken as the rain started, but before the flowers all opened. They did open the rest of the way. Although I went out to live-head in the rain, I didn't take more pics.
All I can say about poor Goldie Fritz is that the thrips really think she's tasty. I added granulated Bio-Advanced 3-in-1 to the pot, even though it says not to use in pots. I'm sorry, bees and other beneficials... the thrips have got to go.

Today brought more Scarlet Orbit blooms too, mostly on 2" tall scapes. I must have the fans planted too deep. I'll re-pot once first bloom cycle ends. I didn't take more pics.
More pics of Coming Up Roses, which I really do like despite my phone's complete inability to capture the color accurately. Not FFOs.
Y'all have way better flowers than me.
