Lovely roses - I admire how healthy the plants are. Also sweet fuzzy babies! Are they different breeds, or just color variations?

The roses are hardy self maintenace varieties since
I only feed them 1 - 2 times during the growing season if that.

The goslings are all the same breed but down color varies depending on the sex and color.
There's a little Muscovy duckling behind that group of goslings

Babies! Beautiful fuzzy goslings!

In the first picture of your ramblers, is that a dog or a cat or a baby goat in front of them?

I really need to learn how to use my new camera. *Blush*

I'm getting a new camera delivered any day now. I hope it won't take much learning.

The cats knocked my old camera off the desk last week and it suffered a chronic ailment of some kind, refusing to focus. I never realized it was so fragile. This was a fall of less than 3 feet onto a rug. I can only be amazed the cats and I never dropped it in the preceding six years.

Meanwhile, we've had uncharacteristically rainy and cloudy weather and the light has been uncharacteristically perfect for taking pictures. Crying

Doubt that's BlueGirl, not "blue" enough. Sterling Silver perhaps. How tall, how many thorns? But I just love that Fruhlingsduft.

Re. Blue Girl...my memory sucks. *Blush*
Will go see if it has the tag on it.

Edited to add: I checked, the tag does say Blue Girl and it has no thorns.

Fruhlingsduft only blooms once for me but I guess in some cases its a sporadic rebloomer.

must be cooler weather.. my BG is always more "bluer" in color. She's still gorgeous. BG has very few thorns (about 1/2 of Sterling Silver) and mine are always much taller than SS.. SS only gets to be about 2' while BG can reach for the sky (we're talking non-climbers, but they always try to go for 4-5'. I don't have any BG blooming yet, hopefully in a week or two I'll start to see some blooms. But I did take pictures yesterday of my pond area (blue roses area).

More pics from today.
For whatever reason this year is the best year for roses.
All my roses are laoded...even the ones that do poorly and are on the shovel prune list.
Is anybody else experiencing this bonanza year?
