this pair of saplings came from the cross 18-154 Racing At Randwick X Mixed Signals
out of 20 + seedlings, only 2 have blossomed. I hope to see more variety next spring.

Beautiful seedlings Serjio. I like A the best in this bunch but would also choose C if the falls were a little wider. I'm a little envious of all the pleasure you are undoubtedly having watching your seedlings bloom.

thanks, Paul! I liked the contrast on C and the abundance of colors. I would also like the side branches to be longer.

The flowering of seedlings is really very exciting! I got up even at night and went with a flashlight to the garden to see what flowers were blooming )

I agree, A is very lovely, The yellow edge on the standards of G along with the very dark edge on the falls makes it somewhat unique. Brilliant Idea's characteristics seem to pervade.

I I agree I like A.
I also like the falls on B with the light and dark color contrast and the lighter veined color that highlights the beard.

It has to be beyond exciting to see all your new creations! Like Christmas every morning !

I've went to the garden at night with the flashlight many times. One of my current, among many, passions is going out at first light to see the EMO daylilies. Also like the temps. in the 60's then. High 90's by afternoon.

I'll admit, I've done it, too. I also have gone out before sunrise to pick blooms for the administrative professionals / secretaries / receptionists at work for admin professionals day. I have to get up that early to have time to arrange the flowers and get to work. But they sure enjoy them! Dwarf irises are in bloom by then. Smiling

Irises
World of Irises blogs published the second part of my article and I will duplicate it here

The next cross I liked was 18-73: 'One of a Kind' X 'Mood Ring'. It bloomed almost in full, and most importantly, gave a large variety of fun seedlings with good branching and growth, including a lot of brown seedlings, despite the fact that this color is not common (most likely, these genes are carried by the 'Mood Ring'?).

Parents first:

'One of a Kind'

'Mood Ring'

18-73A: standards are largely inherited from mother, and it turned out quite unusual, in my opinion.

18-73B: I have already seen a similar color scheme in seedlings. This one won me over with its branching. Well, the combination of blue and brown (on the hangers and border) looks modern.

18-73H and this color was also present. Note that almost all seedlings on the standards are visible venation, this is from One of a Kind.

Serjio! I could definitively find room in my garden for all of them! My eye struck two specially: E and H. imv, they are all keepers to me. I tip my hat to you.
What I find a challenge is to imagine a large clump of the same kind and figure out with which I would plant together. TBI are not easy plants to fit-in in a gardening landscape. I have yet to figure that out. Of course all in my imagination. For the time being I have none of them or their parents to worry about: nodding

You're probably right, Arturo. Finding a place in the landscape will not be easy, especially since the seedlings from this group are quite high (except 18-73E), thanks to the pod parent.. I do not consider the question of application in the landscape (fortunately or unfortunately), as I have very little space and my format for growing irises like a mini-nursery. Smiling
