Acrylic.

Oils take so long to dry I don't usually use them on things that will be soon transported. The effect is close to the same with either, plus an acrylic painting is much easier to keep clean and tidy over the long term.

Boy, really had to hunt to find this video! I bought tickets back when they were first offered for this raffle, but then never heard any more about it. Then when I went looking for the thread about the raffle, I couldn't find it! Searched Site Talk and Sandbox, and finally found it over in Tips. Just a request, but could you make some kind of announcement, or send out a Tree-mail to the people who bought tickets?

The package arrived this afternoon, hand delivered by our mail lady! Hurray!

It's such a cheerful painting and I am not quite sure where it's final spot will be but I propped it on this beam mantle in the dining room (which will eventually be removed, that's why nothing is hung there yet) as well as the living room fireplace mantle. (I originally thought to place it there but the space needs something large because of the vaulted ceiling.)
But it does look pretty *happy* there! Hilarious!

Oh how funny!! Upside down.

Looks great in the first one, Sue, but you are right, you need a bigger one in the second picture. You could do that with a large mat around it and a frame, but that would run into money. Framing is expensive even without the glass, also because it would take heavy materials to make a non-flexible mat, so even more expensive.

I'm so glad it got there, even upside down. Big Grin
I hope you enjoy it wherever it decides to live.

I am a strong believer in the simple fact is that what matters in this life is how we treat others. I think that's what living is all about. Not what I've done in my life but how I've treated others. ~~ Sharon Brown
