Since I just started 3 yrs ago, building my daylily garden, ie collecting over 200 daylilies now I have not had a chance to do any hybridizing. My goal was to gather enough dayliles so I could have a fair amount of choice of daylilies to cross. Besides which, I have been too busy digging. and digging! Last year, I ordered 34 daylilies. This year only 13. I have a seedling bed to evaluate from seeds planted last May. And more seedlings will be added to that bed in the Spring. So it's enough.
I have won a fair amount of new seeds from the LA. The ones I am excited about are the following.
Icicles X Gaskins A-103
Cutting Loose X Gaskins A-103- A

'Softly And Tenderly X Arabella Pearl(Steve Todd recently registered Arabella Pearl seedling as 'Victoria Josephine')

Other seeds I am excited about are:
Underdog (Gossard) X Journey of Magic (Petit)
Power Surge X Can't Touch This (Nicole)
South Western Memories (Salter) X Can't Touch This
Horned Viper X Dr. Stump
Fourth of July in Georgia X Briar Patch (Mary Gaskins new intro better known as 'Brer Rabbit and the Briar Patch')
Briar Patch X Deadliest Catch
Four Eyes X Soul Catcher
etc, etc...
Germinating seeds in the Winter during our cold snowy winters keeps me from being bored, and just makes waiting for Spring to return, a lot more bearable for me.
