The oldest goes to a private school & has tons of homework....the younger kids go to public school, but they don't give grades or homework.....very different from when I was teaching!

@Allison,
Such great photos and Cider night sounds great. Love the Zombie. We had about 500 kids last night. I live in a rural community on the Eastern Shore so people from the local schools drive their kids to our neighborhood because it is a neighborhood. We had all ages from infant, toddler, to about age 13 in all manner of costumes. My favorite was a group who had dressed like Dorothy, the Cowardly Lion, Scarecrow and Tin Man (minus Toto). My yard wasn't spooky -lots of ghosts, lights, straw bales, pumpkins and mums, etc. In my younger days we used to go all out and I'd pipe the organ music from Phantom of the Opera right as the kids were hitting the front walk to the house. It scared too many of the younger children so I gave that (and the flying witch, graveyard, etc.) up. And, I used to dress as the Wicked Witch of the West and my Pomeranian was a substitute for Toto. The big tree of lights.. looked massive at the old house.. Randy made it 4 foot taller here.. looks like a little baby here with the massive real trees in the yard.. only part way lit in the photo

My goodness! You do have the light capital of NJ! My neighbors have the flickering red & green light s on their house....dogs are color blind, seeing only blue & yellow, but the shadows moving caught Nicki's eye, & she was zoned out, she wouldn't pee! Do the lights capture the Yorkie's attention?

I don't have them out front often.. have a fence in back.. but years ago Lily and Jily were fenced where the lights were.. I don't think they pay it any mind .. but we were not this big back then.. we had to move the fence in back.. Jily would run across the fence line.. and remove a 2 foot path of grass .. barking at everyone on our street.. made me nuts and looked horrible .. had to go behind the house

That would bug Nicki, too! She stays in the backyard....I just take her up front for her last pee, just to make sure she goes, & doesn't wake me with an 'emergency' at 3am!
