Hope everyone will be ok Ginny. Group hug
Sunny all day giving us a high of 23. The snow is pretty much powder from the cold and not very sticky, but Sky insisted we play snowball this afternoon. Normal snow fall is hohum for a Great Dane, he is having a blast in 28". Smiling

Ginny. What a mess.

I heard this last week:

"The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention advises that if staying out of work for the full two weeks presents too much of a financial burden, you can stop quarantine after 10 days if you didn't get tested and don't have symptom. If you got tested on the fifth day after exposure or later and the result was negative, you can stop isolation after seven days."

Which I just read for confirmation here:
https://nortonhealthcare.com/n...

I'm not going to tell your DD's this, but just passing this on to you in case you want to take it under consideration. In theory, she could test on Wednesday or Thursday and stop isolating Thursday or Friday if she tests negative. Maybe you all could squeeze in a weekend visit. CDC still prefers 14 days to be 100% safe, but I don't think they would make this new rule if they weren't rethinking that 14 day rule.

I'm more concerned she actually has it. Two times she was with the boss for more than 15 minutes... not good. Crossing Fingers! Crossing Fingers! Crossing Fingers!

Tim I read that too. Her 5 days is Monday when she'll take the long test not the quick one. If she's negative and NO symptoms we'll talk for possibly coming Christmas Day to see her sister. Younger one leaves Saturday morning Sighing!

The closer it gets to Christmas the more I get depressed. We feel it is just too risky to get together with our family (or friends for that matter).
I surely hope your DD will be fine Group hug

I agree Prayers for your DD, Ginny. 🙏🙏🙏

Hey Gang! Just catching up from two weeks ago. It's been a bit rough with Mom, but we think she's back to her old self, hopefully for a good long time. 🙏🙏🙏 Crossing Fingers! Crossing Fingers!

We got snow last Wednesday. I was staying with Mom the day the snow came down, and we got about 2 1/2 inches, and it was a beautifully magical snowfall that day!! Lovey dubby It started melting yesterday, but we've gotten a fresh blanket of snow through the night! It's so pretty out there!!

I figure it's best to post a screenshot of today's weather Hilarious! Hilarious!

Well here in Houston, TX it feels pretty cold to me but I am a "'lizard" I love hot weather OK here is what it is doing, it is a little after 6:20 PM on Sunday
first the 10 day forecast calls for high/low for today 65/48 now for the rest of the time expecting highs from 56 to 72. So some warm weather will
happen. Right now it is 59 F with 59% humidity and it feels like 59 which to me is cold! We might see a high in the low 70's by Wednesday with up to
a 90% chance of rain. Then the next opportunity for low 70's are expected next Sunday!

Willinator, 59 is only 3 degrees cooler than we keep the house when the wood stove isn't running. Smiling
Temps were warmer today a welcome change from the below zero stuff. Started with 13 and sunshine. Just seeing the sun is a treat after so many cloudy days the past month. It did cloud up this afternoon and a dusting of new snow fell around 5pm. High was 27.

Tomorrow is the first day of Winter so I'll be changing the Porch Swing and Weather thread first thing in the morning.

Hey for me 59 F is really cold! Of course, for me anything under 70 F is cold!

Hilarious! I'll admit there are times I wish I didn't have to put on boots and a jacket in winter. It would be so nice to walk outside year round in garden shoes and a tshirt!
