Lyle, I love your seedling. I knew that long petals are called quills but what I was wonder about was how on Lady Duck some look like they pinch just a bit on the ends. Is that a common trait for her? The eye zone seems darker in the 2nd pic too.

Thanks for the comments!

I'm not sure if pinched ends are a trait of LD but it is a possibility. The darker eye is just the the time of day the photo was taken..

I also like the large green throats,,,This is a cross of

Lyle, you sure would do a world of good for my self esteem if you could post a picture of an ugly seedling of yours! But, I'm guessing that you've never had one! LOVE the middle one, but the other two are gorgeous also!

Thanks for the comments!

I bloom out a lot more of the ugly ones than I like, but that is part of the game.

The middle seedling is a little different and i haven't removed it yet, if i were to continue with these seedlings i would need to bring some dips and i am not a big fan of the dips,,

I have about 50 more of this cross to bloom out and then i will decide if i want to continue with dip crosses..

The last one will be evaluated, along with one of its sibs...

I don't hybridize for Ufs, or spiders, but when i see a daylily i like, then the hybridizer has to see what the cross will look like..

Sometimes the large yellow throat looks good with the right color combo...

My only spider is from a cross with ROLLING RAVEN ...which i HIGHLY recommend! This seedling is also pod fertile...

My favorite out of the second batch is the second one. That one is screaming my name! Rolling on the floor laughing If I got a seedling like this, I'd pass out!!!

Are the two pictures of ROSIE MEYER X LILLIAN'S WOMAN'S TOUCH siblings? They are so different!
