Steph - 9103 x LO is a future and one of my favorite dark ones...

Some other darks I will consider.. And for those who may want to hybridize for the darker ones...

I missed some replys''

Cindy - I hope your LO makes it through the winter ..If Linda Beck is still growing well, then LO should be ok..

Pam - I have several VBY X LO not sure which one you are calling bi tone?

Shannon - I like your term "Crunchey" could make a nice name for a daylily...

Betty - I hope LO blooms for you this season - i can tell you once you see it bloom you will think less of a lot of other daylilies " It is awesome"

Thanks Susan - The 3rd seedling has one of the clearest mid rib streaks i have seen..

Thanks Margaret - I hope your weather is holding well for you..

Linda Beck is doing very well here Lyle. In fact I think it increased from 2 to 4 fans this past summer.

Much needed rain in Phoenix today. Only one bloom in the garden with the rain I like to see how a daylily holds up in wet conditions and it seems this one holds well....Living in the desert southwest rain is not as important to me as it is for other that receive a lot more precipitation than I do...

BRIAR PATCH - still no teeth but a nice sturdy bloom..

This is not recommended for collectors or daylily showman, but if you are a hybridizer it is alway good to know what daylilies are pod fertile..This is one i received from Bill Maryott, and it seems to be very pod fertile..

PREMONITION - planted in September..I will post this one in the spring - if it is still alive? ..A daylily is given the best of everything in my garden and if it is a sissy, then it can't live in my garden.

PREMONITION - This one has a nice bloom and i hope the scape will gain some height this spring..

I will remove a short scaped daylily from the registered daylilies, the same as from the seedlings

Good plan. Of the seedlings I love the 2nd. one of CS X T. Thw dwpth of color is so nice.

1st. one of JT X LB is my overall choice. The clarity of color and the watermark along with the ruffly large edge and then the nice lighter midrib just makes it a standout. Love it.

I don't like short scapes myself. I try not to buy any under 26". Would definitely prefer all scapes to be in the 30" range.
