Lots of plants only bloom once a year, Calin. But if you choose your varieties carefully, making sure that you have earlys, mids and lates, you can extend your Iris bloom season to about two months in the Spring. And if you add some re-bloomers, then you get a second go-round in the Fall. Now you're up to three months of bloom-time! That's not too bad!!

I don't know if Irises have the most color mixes of all flowers, but I know that there are enough color mixes to keep me intrigued and purchasing for years to come!

And then you can add some siberian, Japanese, and other beardless to keep the show going even longer.

Where do you purchase your irises from, Calin?

Also add some median iris. As to iris bloom season. I wish iris bloomed longer also but what about Tulips, Daffodils, Lilacs, Peonies, other blooming shrubs and trees etc? I still love them all even they have relatively short bloom seasons.

I think they do (have the most color combinations possible)
You are right. Most plants only bloom once a year... wasn't thinking !
Most irises available are some (not many) bearded irises.
For the rest, we must resort to buying online, from foreign companies.
