Thundery was on my wishlist for last year, and I never got it. It's still on my wishlist.

I also have Amber Essence on my list. I don't think I've seen Jealous Guy before -- it's a beauty for sure.

I sure am enjoying your photographs, Brad.

I have been struggling to pick a favorite seedling from Kieth's garden as well, just to many that were really good looking so I thought I would share some that I hope to see, and a few of the different new color patterns in Plicatas, I wish I would have had more time there to spend in the seedlings but I was trying to see a lot of different places in Salem in a short amount of time. I think most of the gardens I visited were 80 percent commercial stock and 20% or less seedlings, but Kieth's was probably closer to 50% seedlings with a lot of unique colors and patterns I have never seen. I am going to guess that majority of these will never get a name and be introduced but to me it was a lot of fun just to see something new and different and think about what we will see in the years to come. The last one on the right was a awesome color combo about as black as I have ever seen in a Iris.

There are a couple other gardens that are worth visiting if you are in the Salem area in Spring, One of our highlight's in 2010 was the Oregon Garden in Silverton it was beautiful at bloom time, they had a huge selection of mature Japanese Maples and unique trees I have never heard of (Monkey Puzzle Tree) but I think my favorite part of there gardens was the Conifers, from what I remember they have one of the best collections in the US and there landscaping with them really influenced a lot of what I did at home, I never realized that Conifers came in so many different colors and textures until seeing them up close. The bright blue Spruces and Spring blooming Red and Pink maples put on a nice show together.

The 2nd would be Brooks Garden in Salem they specialize in Peonies but had quite a few historics for sell and the landscaping was great another garden with mature conifers, mixed with Roses, Iris, and Peonies worth a stop to walk there show beds.

Jo Ann Thank You hopefully there is a couple of them that caught your eye.

Mary Ann that is a Plicata and I hope we see it again for sale one day or something like it. I still don't know everything that goes into judging a Iris to make sure it is acceptable for introduction, I tend to fall for the pretty faces but I am going to try and go to some judges training this year so I know what they are looking for besides bud count and growth.

Lucy I had never seen or heard of that Tree until I saw it there at the Oregon Garden it was one of my favorites at the time, I did not realize how big they got until I looked it up when I got home, so many new things there that I wanted but very few would grow in my zone, everything looks great here until January's -20 hits Thumbs down I would find a spot for that tree if I could grow it.

Paul his seedlings were Fantastic to many great ones I would have a hard time picking just a few to give a name too, I hope he does not slow down too much, would like to see some of those in the future years. I also enjoy his catalog hope it continues it helps through these long cold months until I can play outside again.

Tom Smiling I have something to show you from California next Rolling on the floor laughing Then I am curious out of all the gardens which one is your favorite seedling.
