Last night we watched a few episodes of Good Neighbors/Good Life. They originally aired on PBS. I found some on You Tube, otherwise all the good Britcoms are on Britbox, which is not free.

I think all the good British mysteries are on BritBox too. Plus stuff like Gardeners World I want to check out. I'm planning on checking it out soon.

Monty Don on gardening. I'm aware of five series: American Gardens, Japanese Gardens, Paradise Gardens and Around the World in 80 Gardens, and a really nice one called big Dreams in Small Spaces.
I really like that man: he's so enthusiastic about gardens, and so good with all kinds of people.
If a BBC series titled Rough Science turns up on any of your recycled programming, it's worth a look.

I like the idea of the new All Creatures, but watching two episodes last night, agree it is a little lacking in pizzazz or something.
Plant it and they will come.

It's the casting. I found several character unconvincing - and, what's unforgivable, uninteresting.

I watched twenty minutes of the 2017 remake of Murder on the Orient Express. I stayed that long because I'd promised; really, i wanted to leave after the opening scene. The moustache alone was sufficiently off-putting. The accent, coupled with the demeanour, clinched it. (If you thought Peter Ustinov was irritating....)
I'm not entirely alone in my rejection of this one. https://www.theatlantic.com/en...

I also remember being not crazy about that 2017 Murder on the Orient Express. ( I should go back and check your likes, you seem to have a good feel for the same things I don't like, Serpent.)
Plant it and they will come.

I'm exquisitely discerning....

Give me a nice, relatively bloodless murder, a decent plot, intelligent script, a clever sleuth, preferably with interesting diction and beautiful hazel eyes - oh, all right, I was a bit soppy about Roy Marsden - but I'm a fan of Frankie Drake, too, with no sexual overtones - I was crazy about Miss Fisher, too -
and I'm happy.

We watched the 1958 Night to Remember about the Titanic sinking. Seemed pretty true to the book.So tragic.
However, you get a good focus on Second officer ( ?)Lightoller, a real hero, who later took his yacht to Dunkirk to save another 120 plus people. There's somebody I would name a school for.
Plant it and they will come.

Watched The Dig on Netflix, pre WWII England, beautiful scenery, great characters.

Bob, not to spoil it, but NOS4A2 second season was much darker to me....... plus goes a long way toward explaining things I didn't understand. It's rare for me to like the second season over the first in any series.
I'm hoping there is a third season, they left the end of the second open ended.
Watching the first episode of the second season of Snowpiercer tonight, we have it recoded. Very different from the movie, but packed with stars, Daveed Diggs, Jennifer Connolly and Sean Bean. Weird, far out apocalyptic aftermath story. We have the movie, too. Some very fine performances by Chris Evans and John Hurt.
Yesterday is gone. Tomorrow has not yet come. We have only today. Let us begin.

I am enjoying it but they have already said NOS4A2 would only be 2 seasons. I think I have 3 episodes to go.

Oh, that's too bad. It did seem like they left it open for another season. I spent a good part of the afternoon yesterday watching swamp people. Cant help myself, it always brings a smile to my face.

We're still working our way through the Imposters on Netflix. It's pretty good I think. We're still watching the Stand too, but we've caught up to where we have to wait for each weekly episode to be released on Thursdays. I think there are two episodes left to go. It's as creepy as the book. I kind of wish we would have skipped it.

That book creeped me out years ago when I read it. Really creeps me out considering our current situation.

Me too! The books creeped me out. But my husband really wanted to see this so I agreed. Do you realize that book came out in 1978? Geez, how time flies!

I'm so impressed by the range of actor James Norton, who played the saintly Prince Andrei in War and Peace, a manipulative murderer in Happy Valley, and the vicar of Grantchester, a clergyman with so many common human foibles, in the first 21 episodes of Grantchester. I was disappointed, however, with the clunky writing in the set of events leading up to his departure from the series.

New season of Maine Cabin Builders started tonight. Can not figure out how they do so much work for the budgets provided. Also have been watching a lot of Flea Market Flip , they come up with real interesting projects from mostly old junk.
