And let us all agree, what happened was heinous, but none of us know the who, why, or the what. And we will only know what they want us to know anyways. It's going to be nothing but a blame game and everyone blames the other side. It's all out ever is anymore. It's not about the AMERICAN people sadly. It's about power. Hence why I am fed up with politics right now.

Ginny, not sure what hoar frost is. Lol. But these were pictures I took today after work by my house. I live in a subdivision, but there are wooded greenbelt areas and some ponds on the next road over.

I don't want to get into a big political thing. But just wanted to state that I'm sad and disheartened at what I saw on my tv today. None of this should have happened...

My thoughts go out to the American people, the police forces that had to get involved, the Senators and other officials who had to shelter away, not knowing what was going to happen, and everyone else involved and affected.

Ginny, in that case no. We have had a lot of freezing rain and freezing frost. Weird stuff. Add in a little wind and well, free ice sculptures.

I'd just like to say this is the grumpy thread...my hot water heater sprung a leak and flooded the mud room, the oven died halfway through roasting a leg of lamb, the tire on my car finally went totally flat...no spare and no one to call for help. You get my drift...grumpy not political gripes. These are trying times for all of us but this is not the place for slinging mud...it is a place for fellow gardeners to come together and commiserate when the world sends us a curve ball instead of a bouquet of flowers. Sorry...enough said...off my soap box now and off to hug my doggie who always is happy to see me...puppy dog kisses are the best 🐶😘😘

They did prepare, but, of course it was not enough. Some people tore down the fence, and that's how they got in.

I'm not trying to get political, and i don't think this is political, but by saying 'they' it sounded like you were lumping all police officers into one group.

Oso is asleep on the kitchen floor. I will probably bring a quilt out and join him to make sure he doesn't hurt his incision. hope we can find the cone tomorrow when it is light.

I'm exhausted.

Actual grumps for tonight:

- All the darn flies in my house. Where are they coming from!

- That Covid patient who decided they didn't want to be in the Covid ward in the hospital and came wandering into triage where myself and others were waiting. Because apparently they didn't feel like being treated over there, and wanted to be treated with everyone else...

- The thrip that was spotted on an expensive plant. I hate thrips...

There was a time when George Carlin was talking about the "save the planet" stuff and he said "the planet isn't going anywhere: WE ARE!!!'" I wonder if Covid is what is going to do it for us. Hope my dogs will be OK.

It's a little after 3am. I think I finally got Oso's incision covered but I keep checking. It's very cold. I brought the propane heater in from the bedroom. Lit it and found it has sprung a leak!! Dang. I've got a bunch of quilts. I'll lie down next to Oso so I'll notice if he starts to stir. And hope I get some sleep. This has been a long day.
