Yesterday I painted this cardinal which was the top of a birdhouse that the bottom broke several years ago. I decided the eye area was okay without new paint.

DH helped me nail this birdhouse and wooden basket back together. I added the heart and tulips on the front and the decorations on the roof. The things I added were things from some other yard decor that deteriorated. He also helped nail this post bird feeder back together. I can't remember where I got it but haven't used it cause it was so rickety. He has to cut some plexiglass in it to hold the bird food.

Today I fixed this heart by connecting all the hearts together so I can hang it again. DH has to drill a hole in the top heart for the hanger. I also but chains on these tiny birdhouses that my grandkids gave me years ago.

Hamwild, love the blue bird with the pink umbrella. What kind of paint do you use on these metal decorations? I have a few that could use a bit (a lot Whistling ) of touching up.

I used craft store acrylic (I think it's called folkart or apple barrel)? But, I sealed them with clear coat also. Rustoleum makes one that is a UV protectant among a couple other things. *Blush*

I love your yard art and the great job you did touching them up. Lovey dubby I hope others will also share what they have done to some of their precious yard art. I will post more later as I repair things.

What is the name of that plant in the photo? Looks very similar to what I have that grows in partial shade, and makes small purple flowers on short scapes.

If it's the right plant, I've been wanting to buy more. I lost the tags for it.

Lowes and Home Depot seem to carry it during the warmer months here; hopefully you can find some near you! Grin

Jeanne ~ the Cardinal is just beautiful Lovey dubby They are one of my favorite birds. The quick little chirps they make, I can't get enough of. Rolling my eyes.

I have spruce trees in my front yard, and I see them a lot during the winter whenever I'm on the front porch.

Thanks Ian. I feed the birds on our back deck and get cardinals and others to come eat. I love seeing them around. But we are a ways from the woods and we only have one tree on each side of the house. We get a lot of sparrows and grackles which I am not fond of Grumbling but they are God's creatures too so I let them be.

I bought this bowling ball at a fundraiser and had it outside in one of my flower beds until I noticed that the glass beads were falling off. I'm not sure what type of glue the person used but it is not holding up even inside. I brought it in to fix it and am just now getting around to it. As I glue the beads back on with GE silicone ll, more beads are falling off. I am almost done with this one.
Thumb of 2021-02-07/gardenglassgems/684a60
The problem is that I bought another one at a different fundraiser made by the same person before I realized that the beads were not glued on with a permanent glue. The 2nd one I didn't even put outside yet and the beads are falling off. I will be repairing it next. I am sure I will be gluing more of these glass beads on in the future as they fall off.

Here is an update on the bowling ball I was gluing the beads back on. I finished it and then did the same thing to another one that I think the same person made and I got at a fund raiser at the same establishment where I got the 1st one.
This one is finished but I will probably never be finished gluing the beads on for a long time.
Thumb of 2021-02-10/gardenglassgems/19990e

This is the 2nd one that needed the beads glued on.
Thumb of 2021-02-10/gardenglassgems/a9edfa

Now I finished this one for the time being. Today I glued the spoons back onto the back of two of my glass flowers that had lost their spoons over time.
Thumb of 2021-02-10/gardenglassgems/417dbe

I have more gluing repairs to do before spring so I best get going.
