It didn't work for me either--but we were kind of informed that it might not.

Well when I got the shot they were saying it was something like 67% effective then I got sick, then they were saying it was actually turning out to be more like 9% for old farts. If I had known that I surely would have passed on it!

I'm one of those people who rarely get sick but now I got sick this year and also 2 years ago. Normally I can't even catch a cold! Hope this isn't going to be a trend Thumbs down .

I took a walk around the garden. Daffodils up all over the place. These are ones I had in my garden, the ones just planted last fall are not showing yet. I find that the bulbs planted the fall prior always break ground later than the bulbs already in the garden from past years. There are even some with flower buds showing.

More people with the flu shot than ever before, many even forced to have it. An epidemic flu year. You draw the conclusion.

Spring will be right around some corner here, right? It's coming, slowly but surely.

I had a flu shot this year. I know they said on the news many times about flu being overly widespead this year. Knock on wood, never have gotten the flu.

I looked at Anthony's recent contributions to the Lily data base....

WOW! Did you get a new camera? The details are so crisp that I can count the legs on the spider!

FYI to everyone:
When you enter a photo into the data base, the date the picture was taken is automatically entered, too. American cameras record dates as Month-day-year, but cameras bought in other countries may not. Some cameras record the date as day-month-year or year-month-day.

Well, to me it's always a mystery when I deal with an "American" date... why it always has to be different than the rest of the world, beats me.
I think they should add "AD" (aka American Date) after the numbers.
Like, 03/04 AD for today.
But then it could also mean "Anno Domini".
LOL... kidding over here in the office. Or is it "at the office"??? Prepositions are tough!

I heard on the weathernews that we are supposed to get a big storm Wednesday and overnight Wednesday into Thursday. Depends on the track yet as to if it would be rain or snow or a combo of both. The news I just watched said a combo of rain and snow.

Sometimes I'm not that happy being part of such an egocentric country. It can be really embarrassing. I think it was under President Carter when there was a push in the USA to change over from the english system to the metric system. I remember being very hopeful in those days, but once again emotion won over logic. Thumbs down

In the USA, "A.D." in relation to dates means anno domino, but I would venture that most any American under 30 years old wouldn't know that. I am quite confident that if you told them it meant "American date", they would believe you. Rolling my eyes.

"at the office" is more correct in this case. If English words always had just one meaning, it would sure be an easier language to learn. Big Grin

Well Rick trust me, English is much simpler in a way.
I am teaching Romanian to a Turk friend and well, it's not easy.

Yeah - guess the sun is yours from here on in. I swear I can see it getting lower in the sky each day! Hilarious!

Autumn... so many plump pods. It's hard not to pinch pods this time of year, giving the little seeds inside a hurry up that never works. They ripen in their own time.

It is very windy out and supposed to get more windy. A big storm is coming our way and last night I heard at least 9 inches expected before it is done by Friday afternoon.

The walkabout the garden today showed more daff blooms trying to open. Today is the day to take a look as we are going to get a winter storm starting this evening until Friday afternoon. Expecting at least 9 inches of snow. But the poor daffs are not doing that great, they are laying on the ground and not quite open all the way. Kind of stuck at that stage. We need this winter weather to end and spring to come so that more blooms can arrive.

These with blooms are the very early type daffs I have. And they are in the sun in the front yard. Other daffs of all types have broken ground and are up all over the garden. Some even have bloom buds. But unless we get nicer weather nothing is going to happen very soon around here. And you all know I can't wait for spring and my flower bulbs to bloom.
