Thanks Polly & Meredith! I just looked back and didn't see any Calibrachoa, did you mean the petunias? I do have several of those Calibrachoa, love them!
And my Sunrise is finally blooming. Very wind blown, but here is the first bloom. I got both mine from Vintage, too. My camera doesn't show it, but it is almost iridescent round about dusk. It looks pretty cool as I have it infront of the Summer Songs. There are in the same color range and the Sunrise really pops out against the Summer Song blooms. I'm excited to see how it all fills in!
Meredith79, Sunrise is one of those roses that changes color variations with the weather, light, etc. It is kind of fun to go out and see what it looks like every morning!

I've been so busy in the garden, and also traveling, that I haven't checked in as often as I should. But I'm pretty much done with planting, so I should have time now to focus on relaxing and enjoying.

Mike - heck, if you're bored of just relaxing & enjoying, you can come help me dig tons of holes all over the place!!! This weekend I'm going to try & get my pond area completed (yea right, that's been something in the making almost a year and half now ) and have SOOO many roses coming in from RU.. you're welcome to come on by! I got extra gloves & fiberglass shovels!

Calif_Sue, does your Brown Velvet turn neon orange in the summer. Mine, the hotter it gets in the summer, the brighter orange it is. Then when it cools down in November/December it turns that beautiful burgundy/brown.

LOL! Now I'm reminded of why I don't hang out in the rose forums too much. It makes me long to start planting roses to fill all the spots I've removed them.

Alan - Why on earth did you send that horrible heat my way? It's going to be triple digits today (forecast for 97 degs). Just 3 weeks ago, we had the heater on! Now I'm suffering with a massive sunburn on both shoulders (bad enough to get the chills & shakes from) and my plants are dropping like flies. Gone from 50 to 90 in 3weeks. BLEH!

Your still doing better than we are. It's suppose to be 113 here today. Of course, once you reach 100, to me it all feels the same...like a HOT furnace. I'm sorry it went your way though. The High Pressure is still sitting over Arizona.

Record high for the Denver Metro at any time was only 104 back in the 1890s sometime.. it's not supposed to get that warm here. We totally fry because we're so high up in the mountains. The rivers out of the mountains are flooding and white-water rafters are drowning because of the extreme rapids. Oh well. Hopefully it'll cool back down tomorrow to the normals (mid-upper 70s, lower 80s)
