Greg, I suspect that semps are an addiction in the making, 2 days ago I ordered soome seeds, by last night, in my minds eye, I had a raised bed, or very large container of some description in the garden, with my little seedlings 2-3 years on......I'm blaming you guys!

I managed to score 3 plants on Ebay last night, Rosie, Red spider and tectorum Atropurpureum. I got all 3 for just 99p
At least this little obsession will just take over the garden and not the house, I think my hubby is begining to get a bit fed up of windows full of cactii and aloes, not to mention that my wool 'corner' (I crochet) is taking over the living room...... On the positive side there will be less grass to mow, I HATE mowing!

Each of us grows into our own technique of plant growing. That is what makes it all so fascinating. And we some times learn new techniques from others, even more fascinating.

Oh Kate, it sounds like you have been bitten by the semp bug. Stay with us and we will support you through the addiction.

I love it! Welcome to this crazy world of semps Kate! In 1999 I visited England, extended stay in Lancashire, Preston, which was "just okay" but on weekends we'd take trips around so I went twice to Wales and once to Scotland, and I tell you - I could tell the difference, there seemed to be a lightness and "fun" in the Celtic peoples that I didn't find with the English, who seemed more reserved. I only went into the north of Wales, around Cardiff but I've always thought about returning! It seemed a lovely place! There must be lots of semps growing around in neighborhoods! (you could do what I do, stalk those gardens that have them and then when the people come out you could beg for a few chicks!)
Serse, I love that you have been "bitten" as quickly as I was, and now Kate sounds like the same for you! I've said this before but it holds sooo true - when you look into semp hybridizers they're all a bit "touched" and they fall fully in love with these little plants! Maybe that's the case for anyone hybridizing plants but I haven't heard of it in the same way as I have with semps!

Kite flying, kite thread and a reel to wrap up the thread. Has any one seen the contraption? Need the reel to reel in the long winded stories sometimes. Bev your slurring is showing could you relax on the nectar of Gods .
