You seem to be moving towards fall already there. How high up are you? tucked into mountains? Here we had our first winter snowfall this morning, although by noon it was all gone. From the forecast, it would seem that although equinox is just three weeks ahead, spring is going to take a long time to get here! not until mid November the least. Climate change?

Our garden is situated in the southeast of the Alps in a region where the climate is influenced by the adriatic sea (the border to Slovenia and Hungary is not far away - wineyards are common, figs are growing and the Alps you can see far away on the horizon). I'm not sure how you quote height above sea level in the US - in Europe it's about 320m where we live.

Usually we have long warm summers - in normal years (quite seldom now) the first daylilies flower at the end of April - peak bloom is at the end of June and the last flowers open in October. Frost or snow arrives in December (coldest nights in Jannuary with 10°F at night) - but the last 10 years snowfalls were scarcer and the winter was dryer than before. Climate change is a challenge for gardening here - we now had two years with frosty nights in May (very unusual) - no fruits on the trees, not a single cherry!

So good to see folks posting bloom images! Thumbs up There's around 25 - 30 cv's still blooming here and some seedlings. A few rebloom scapes popping up. I would have thought with 17" of rain in July there would be more scapes coming up. Shrug! Oh well, here's a few August blooms from the sorted folders....

These first 5 had LFO this week...

@Nightlily, Thank you Sue for your explanation. We measure with the widespread metric system here too. I'm in almost 800 mts above sea level and although in Argentina, really close to the border with Chile, and perhaps barely 250 km away from the cold Pacific Ocean. My most hindering condition is the lack of warmth in summer. However I do grow quite a few daylilies, although my existing older clumps are all noids. The newer ones are mixed with recent un-named cultivars and a few named ones that I have added this past season.Too soon to see results yet.

2020 notes: only about 1 foot high, but flower is a good 8 inches. Reasonable for a plant that has only been in the ground fo 337 days. Registered at 45 inches. At that height and an 8 inch flower, this will be a substantial plant. Flower color is an attractive orange that commands attention. 2021 note: still in bloom in August.

These are two different G Wild plants on different parts of the Hill. But they look the same and bloom at the same time. I think I have to face an annoying fact. G Wild just dug up any old thing they wanted to get rid of, slapped a label on it ( regardless of reality) and shipped it out, assuming people wouldn't notice. I have so many plants that came in completely the wrong color, size or shape for the plant that they were supposed to be that I am giving up and pronouncing them all NOIDS. At least these bloom crazy late.
