We are nearing the end of August and although most seedlings are done blooming there are still a few blooms to see.
I am delighted with the beautiful color and ruffles on this one:
'Spacecoast Francis Busby' x 'Kitty Bannerman'
And the color and form has improved on 'Violet Shadows' x 'Cobraskin Necktie' and I love the white edge:
The 'Alice Baier' x 'Money Maker' seedling started late and still has plenty of buds to go:
Same for the 'Simplicity in Motion' x 'Orchid Corsage' seedling....keeps going & going:
This seedling was from seeds from John Kulpa of which only the pod parent is known. Out of 'Matthew Leitch'. I am hoping the color isn't so blotchy next year and the teeth get bigger. Being that I am in central New Hampshire on a mountain where it's cool, perhaps it needs more heat to bring them out?
'Transformer' x 'Exotic Starfish'
This seedling keeps pumping out blooms so it gets another picture: 'Pink Princess Slippers' x 'Lillian's Vapor Trail'
'Lucky Streak' x 'Lake Norman Spider' is fashionably late
last of 'Aliens in the Garden' x 'Heavenly Way Big'
Last of 'Mirror Shades' x 'Darin Boyles'
The 'Ocean Pearl' x 'Crintonic Rain Dances' seedling is good for a couple more
'The Dancer' (Westbourne Chip off the Ol' Block' x 'One Cat Too Many' sdlg.) beside the very large and taller 'Forsyth Flaming Snow' x 'Green Icon' seedling.....both refuse to quit:
This is the sibling to the 'Alice Baier' x 'Money Maker' seedling I showed above:
Truthfully this is a strange seedling that I have marked to 'cull'. But I wasn't sure if maybe I should wait because it seems to be a bud-builder with great bud count, good increase, and put up multiple fans as a 2 yr. old seedling. Also, it seems to have a hint of teeth and blooms late. Blooms are about 6 1/2 inches. Not crazy about it but it's quite robust. Cull or not?? Also from 'Matthew Leitch' from John Kulpa seeds so the genetics are there.
a sibling to one I posted before....
'Hakuna Matata' x 'RFK'
another image of 'The Dancer' because she just begs for her photo op every day!
This may very well be my last seedling posting of the year as I can't see anything new yet to bloom. Thank you for the thumbs up and the acorns!!
I've enjoyed everyone's seedlings. It's been fun!
