Yep! Especially when you want to see the bloom!! Although if you have offshoots, you could take some of them before the plant is finished blooming! (meanwhile you'd be starting with a small plant all over again, but it would at least be living!) Hurray!

I will closely monitor it. The main stem with the buds has many branches, so many potential new ones.

It's interesting to see that main rosette's growth is like the center is outwardly protruding, compared to the others where the rosette's center are more sunken. That is what initially caught my attention when I was checking on it, then I saw the hidden little buds in between the leaves. Always finding something new amongst the plants Smiling

Awws..thanks Chris...the succulents are just enduring me Smiling

And here is a photo update of the Stenocactus coptonogonus, one of the buds opened up yesterday afternoon, as our temps continue to warm up. This close-open session will go on for about a week, so enjoying the show while it lasts. It will be warmer today, so will try to see if it will open up the middle part a little more.

Thanks Chris and Greg!

Today is such a warm sunny day! And tomorrow's forecast even more, so I have started to bring out the other succulents that have been residing indoors during winter...desert rose, plumeria, split rock and lithops. Hurray!

This noid succulent is in active growth..at first I got worried because it seems a lot of the leaves are yellowing and drying out..but then on closer look, I realized now that it must be conserving and re-directing its energy to give more to the new babies it is creating! Big Grin
