Thanks, the picture actually does it justice. In person it is more mauve, not pink and Im on my last nerve with mungy color. It did have excellent substance tho. Im anxious to see its siblings. To bad I dont know the parents, Ive mentioned before, the squirrels dug out all my tags, or the sun faded the tags. This year Im triple keeping track, and back to using colored wires as one of the tracking methods for the seedlings.

Its sure better than last years color of the year.....brown. Cant wait until the rest that are scaping open. I have my best looking plants in years, and the least amount of scapes. Maybe one year Ill pull it all together.

Awww, I think it's pretty with nice edges -- and I love the green throat! But I think I can also see why you've decided to discard it.

That's a pretty seedling. The next blossom on it may change your mind about
culling it. Sometimes they have a hard time deciding what they want to be.

You have to be ruthless with those seedlings, throw that thing in the pile Pam if you don't like it!!

I know everyone here thought I had died, but have been really busy with this Regional thing and haven't had any seedlings to post due to the last cold snap. They are a few now blooming, the compost pile will be larger than ever this year.
Both of these are dips

We found our first scape yesterday on Dancing On Air. It is registered as an early early. I am not counting the scapes on new ones added in the past few weeks coming from Florida or other warmer areas. Now, the scape hunt will begin!

Last year, all the ones I got from Maryotts were blooming by now. None of the ones I got Fall of 2012 are even showing scapes, much less blooming. I haven't seen any signs of scapes on anything, yet. In fact, mine are just now starting to grow for the Spring.

I sure do look forward to seeing photos of all ya'll in the warmer areas. I need blooms!!!

Thanks guys. That photo does remind me of the blazing warmth of a fire in the fireplace.

Except for the dormants, my plants forgot what winter was, and continued to grow,
then have all the foliage frozen, over and over again with that boiled cabbage look. I don't know if they have any energy left to bloom.

The new ones I get this year may be the only blooms I see. This growing all winter thing is a first for me.
Have no idea why they did that, and this winter was way colder than last year.
