Greg---no worries about pears hitting the trillium. The are a spring ephemeral. So stem, leaves, flower make an appearance and then completely die down (leaving underground roots only) until they make an appearance next year.

73 degrees here today. I have spent more than 8 hours working outside. My kids foraged for their own food, since I've been completely AWOL.

Tons blooming. Will try to post pics later. Too sunny, though, to get good photos.

If the weather stays like this, my tulips will be very short lived.

Creeping phlox is just starting to bloom today. Early!

It has been a glorious day today here in the Willamette Valley. Mid 70's, sun all day, Daffodils, Tulips, flowering quince and much more blooming. The birds are singing all over the place. Everything is happy today.

It was beautiful here too Lynn, got up to 70, sunny, beautiful blue skies, but no blooms yet. I did get lots of cleanup done.

tall cherry over yard flowering

about 75 feet tall, about 5 feet around at base
not the biggest trunk but way taller then most around here

heres two more cherrys on the other side of me.
i am fairly certan that i live on what was a cherry orchid 70 years ago



the top of the left one is about 90 feet one of the the tallest cherry i have seen in seattle


has anyone been to the cherrys at the u dub this year?
