Is it true that deadheading an Aglaonema will stimulate foilage growth?

Not true. Leaving or removing the flowers is purely an aesthetic choice.

No. I always leave mine. Who knows.....you may get TOTALLY LUCKY and get pollination and seeds (rare without human hand intervention, but not unheard of). No, leaving the bloom on will not affect your plant one way or the other

Codie, did your plants form any seeds? I've seen mine do it a couple of times when the blooms happened while plants were outside when the blooming happened. But I never did find any seeds inside later.

Not that I have seen. The plant has been inside. It has 3 blooms on it now and I cut an old one off. So 4 blooms so far!

It's an Alternanthera. (The post that was inserted above but has since been moved to Plant ID forum.)

Gina, I think it was the tone of your first response. Everyone makes mistakes. If you had phrased it like you last post above ' please don't piggyback new questions onto original existing threads'
it would have been kinder.

Does this forum have a moderator? I'm not a big fan of splitting questions into separate discussions because I think a lot of the time people search for an existing discussion on purpose to post something, but this would have been an appropriate use of that moderator ability.

There are no "rules" on posting and that member has previously gotten lost or had trouble with posts, said they were old. Not everyone can figure out the ins and outs of how and where to post or even know anything about forum etiquette.
I moved the post out of this thread and it's now in the Plant ID forum. If anyone want to delete their comments here that now no longer apply since the post is missing, you can edit. (or just leaves things, it's up to you) nodding It would be nice if anyone that provided an ID can go add it to the new thread in the Plant ID forum. Thumbs up
