That's fantastic though! You get to grow them and make some $$
What a great selection of varieties you have!
We started out with my son getting interested in gardening and tomatoes and garlic were his FAVORITES. He got a lot of seeds in trade from Seed Savers and some other tomatoes sites. Hence, the shoe box full of seeds. He did a spreadsheet, but it's not nearly as nice as yours!
Then when he bought 7 acres and asked me if I wanted to move down to Ga and do market gardening, he would supply the land, equipment, seeds, etc, I couldn't pass it up. Now we only do two rows of tomatoes (50 ft.) because we are just a hobbyist market gardener. But our customers LOVE that we have so many varieties. We do samples and sell out almost all the time, at $3 lb.!!!
But you know how it goes, I can't be sure what will/won't germinate so I always plant some extra
First year I planted them in the "field" between the garden and orchard and the deer kept eating them. Finally we fenced it in and they got so stocky and bushy, they were wonderful tomatoes. Had tomatoes into November that year.
Last year I planted some extra to see if I could sell the plants. Turned into about 100 plants...sold all but about 10. then they started requesting certain varieties. So, this year I planted some requests (Cherokee Purple) even though it's a good tomato, it doesn't really do well down here. AND, since we do the same with peppers, I planted some extra peppers this year to see if I can sell some plants. LOTS of varieties of peppers to. All sweet though, the hots we couldn't even give away. Well, one jalapeno...
I may try and copy your database though, it's so clear and simple to read!!!
