Just have to share this photo...I was at Costco earlier, and saw that they are selling some succulent planters. Cannot say it is the best arrangement I have seen, to be honest they look a bit rundown, either because the plants are in need of good sunlight or in some containers, I do not agree with the combinations they made.

Totally agree! Thumbs down I was thinking they were meant to be broken up into several different pots, but then opened the photo and saw the pot, and the price tag! Wow Thumbs down
Gigi, thank you for pointing this out! In your photo I couldn't see the plant as well as in the link...I just saw a pot with this plant in it and wondered what it is, I totally love it! The one I saw today was almost pointy leaves, and I knew it wasn't an agave, but wondered?? But it is exactly your plant! Very cool!
Cheers ya'll Hurray!

Hetty, those are wonderful, but way out of my price range. I do drool over them every time I see them.

Tarev, that is such a homely looking container of plants, for a lot of money. But each plant, on it's own, is quite unique. Looks like there is possibly 7 different plants in it? That would be less than $4.00 per plant.

Hi Lynn, the plants are good big sizes which is nice, but the way they arranged it/combinations, just makes it ugly looking. And I think the container is too deep, though I am not sure if it is packed with soil all the way down. Our local Home Depot at least knows how to present the plants, their succulents are on the parking lot, so it can get sun and proper lighting.

Come to think of it, we can arrange it much better for much less price! Big Grin

I agree
I was trying to see if it was worth buying and splitting up, there are some really nice plants in it, just not in the same container. nodding

I sure like the firesticks and the aloe..and I think that tall spiky one is a Euphorbia that bears thin leaves on the edges. Those I like. But for that price..ah, nah..I'll get them elsewhere for sure.

Tarev, and since you're such a "plant momma" you could get them as smaller plants and in no time at all they'll be big and grand! nodding

I agree looks like this is out of my price range but the plants are good sized and you can probably divide them right away. Our Costco here don't carry these but HD have echeverias and tender succulents combo for $2 per rosette/plant.

But when DH & I went to Lowe's to get the bricks, I wandered to the succulents area Whistling Whistling . I promised him I will just look and reminded him that my clutter has been taken care of...but these clearance plants need rescuing!!! And the manager just gave them to me for $4: Lovey dubby Lovey dubby

Rolling on the floor laughing Bev and Greg, I think DH knows I'm running out of excuses now that I'm using the store Manager to agree it is a great deal. When I got home I put them all in this faux stone so DH thinks of this as one set of little plants.

By the way, since these were all bare root (except for one) and they didn't have any containers so there are 4 no IDs...and they are in the plant ID forum. Any help identifying these would be greatly appreciated. Green Grin! Big Grin

Gigi, just seeing that I have a couple of those so will say at the top left looks like a Gratopetulum and the left is Pachyphytum compactum. The small pic next to planter pic looks like Graptosedum 'Vera Higgins'. Not sure of the bottom two but they look like Sedums (pork and beans and silver sedum?)
