Wow what a beautiful parade of gorgeous Aeoniums. These plants are new to add to the inside plants. I was lol at all the funny comments reading the last few posts.

I have a new Aeonium 'Jolly Clusters' that's not yet in the data base waiting on approval to add pic in the database. It's a very nice lime green color.

It has grown 5" tall since May.

Thats nice Tabuliforme Hybrid. I wonder what the other parent was? Apparently someone found it growing under their tabuliforme plant.

Yes, the Bay area has nice conditions for Aeoniums. I don't have to worry.

Do you live on the ocean side or the Bay side? There are a lot of different climate zones in the Bay Area. My in-laws lived on the ocean side in Daly City. They had an entire backyard full of beautiful succulents but could only grow a tomato or pepper in the sunroom. Here's an Aloe I was fascinated with:

That's not actually what I set out to post. Hilarious! I wanted to show you this Aeonium crest. At least it used to be a crest. It was a big roll about 12 inches tall with heads all the way around the edges. The inside of the roll was pretty tight and it got mealybugs but by the time I noticed, it was too late because the entire center of the roll rotted. I salvaged every little piece I could find, put them all in one pot and stuck it in a corner. I was disappointed because it was an awesome plant and it didn't look like it was going to crest again. Guess what? Crests! These are all from the same plant.

@Daisyl
I am near San Jose.
Those aloes are pretty much everywhere. Lots of people have them, its the kind of plant that neighbors give to each other. Unfortunately I can't get an ID on it. Could be a species or a hybrid.
Nice sunburst crest. I would have given acorns to all of these nice pictures, but unfortunately I am completely out (too many acorn tips)

This years seeds are just starting to germinate. You have to plant them during the fall, because the seeds will go into heat induced dormancy.
This is a super zoomed in shot, the actual seedling is the size of a poppy seed nodding

When I was moving pots inside for winter, my one Aeonium, a tiny tree about 6" tall with 6-7 branches, looked like it was dead and shriveled except 2 little tips that still had some green. I cut off the stems with green tips & stuck them in a tiny pot to take root or finish dying. I'm pleasantly surprised to see this result:

I think I will leave this plant either completely inside, or in the shadows next summer. It does not seem to appreciate tons of sun &/or heat.

I've been into moudning succs lately.

Like aeonium sedifolium.

It's stickyish, but cute mounding.

I also really like small mounding aloes (and also deuterocohnia).

@Sedumzz I was gifted a VERY tiny deuterocohnia (around a cm in width). It seems to grow incredibly slow. Shrug! @Baja_Costero I saw that you had some pics of Deuterocohnias in the C&S chat, happen to know their growth rate?

Anyway, aeoniums.
