Hurrah for not hurting yourself. I always think of a broken hip.

Three cheers for the Toyota - they are so reliable.

Woke up this morning too 6 inches of that white stuff with a low of 24 and a high of 27 and now it's 21,come on spring.

We didn't get anything out of the first storm which didn't make me mad Sunday night into Monday.

Woke up to 8 degrees this morning. The high is supposed to be 28, but sunny. Supposed to get 1/10th inch of ice tonight into tomorrow.

January is 1/4 over! 71 days until Spring.

Thanks for your well wishes....I guess since I was bent over trying to shovel, I didn't have very far to fall....& the puffer jacket, which makes me look like Michelin Man, helped! Not even a sore spot today...Jim, thanks for the spring update.....I need that after waking up to 13 degrees with an icy forecast for tomorrow....& forget Tues. Looks like I'll be stuck in the house ALL day with the high of 12 degrees!

Too cold for me already today and the forecast is for much more colder on Tuesday.

So I thought it looked like way much snow for the 5-7 inches predicted and today I read in our local on line paper that we got 9.3 inches here in our city being the highest total on Long Island for this snowfall.

No wonder I don't like it!!

So was I. Hard to consider who goes out to measure snow...and why. I realize people with weather stations do it but it's not a hobby for me.

Freezing rain. We're supposed to get 1-2/10ths of an inch of ice buildup. It may get above freezing late this afternoon.

Marilyn, I hope your grandson isn't too sick and all stay healthy Group hug

30 now and not expected to get any higher, wind chill is 21. Tomorrow is supposed to be bitter, then a slight warm-up for Wednesday and Thursday.

It's actually a granddaughter...her school tests every student, every week, & she only had a runny nose, so she never thought she would be positive.....waiting to see how many others in the household have it.....Icy & cold here this morning.....hate the bitter cold coming in tonight, but thankful it's not for more than a day! Still a snow cover to protect the plants...I hope.....
