Jackie, you lucky girl You! Thumbs up Yes, go ahead and get them outside and I hope the baskets are such that there is drainage but not so much that the dirt washes out. I put window screening on my project of 3 tiered baskets because they were so openly woven;
I assume yours aren't like these:
Baskets and window screening that I cut out to put on bottom of baskets before mossing

Awesome Bev, I remember you posted that picture before and actually had seen one almost just the same at a thrift store last weekend but it wasnt for sale Thumbs down
My baskets are woven but still have little holes so that should provide good drainage. I will hopefully plant them tonight but it is pretty wet outside currently but really want to get them back in the dirt and outside. I will post pictures as soon as Im done!! Hurray! Thank you guys for your help!
Now I dont have any chicken grit yet but I do have potting mix and either pea gravel or lava rock. Should I mix some of that into it and then top dress it?

You could do both but I'm assuming your lava rocks aren't that big like dime-sized? If you have enough of one to do the mix then stick with that if not, then add the other at smaller portion to get it to how you want your mix. Sometimes it's use what you got if it's not too crazy...don't ask me what's too crazy...

HAHA Rolling on the floor laughing Well my lava rock is about quarter sized pieces. Pea stones are smaller than dime size. I have enough of both.... Bev, I need you to tell me what to do please I'm all ears! Thumbs up

Then use your pea gravel/stones into your soil. Probably a good idea to always have extra amount of various stuff around to make your mix for situations like this where you have hit the jackpot you didn't expect: unexpected guests of any kind of succulents. You might want to consider clearing off and watching out for any dead leaves or unwanted debris/insects off the semps so that your planting looks brand new/clean. If you have any rocks left you can use that for top dressing if that has been working for you seeing as you have wet conditions. I agree with Lynn about the fact that the plants were already outside and acclimated so you could probably put them there. Don't water if the original soil held onto the roots are not dry or if rain is expected or conditions are damp.

Ok really crappy pictures but I tried to snap a couple before it started pouring out! Its been thunderstorming so far ever since i got home and didnt get to finish planting these guys but this is what i have so far...They are not looking all that great and they were soaked and so very wet. I kept them outside in the greenhouse since it will be raining for days here and left it unzipped so it wont get to hot in there. Also the plants were and still are pretty dirty but I didnt want to mess with them to much other than taking off the dead dried leaves. Not sure if they look ok but not really liking my planting results so far Thumbs down Guess I could be like Greg and just keep moving them until I find a good spot....plus my hubby is making my new semp boxes so I might just put them in there.

Jackie you're like my late ex-mother-in-law: she would cook a fabulous dinner and then apologize for the meat having color and flavor. All looks good considering...they were unexpected guests!!
I LOVE the one in the 5th row 2nd pic!! Beautiful coloring or love what your camera did with it!
They all look great except for what happened to the green stalky plants. Is that semps or an ugly autumn joy group or deer eaten what? Blinking

Second row second pic Bev? I have NO CLUE what that is. A clump of something on on tight stolons or something.....it is so weird. I thought maybe you guys would know Hilarious! It doesnt look eaten by anything just weird. It must be some sort of semp the way the roots and and how they are attached to each other. Blinking Confused
