Hmmm I am trying this "professional bonsai soil" to see if it makes a difference. The mix does not have any organic material.

My usual mix is 60% perlite and 40% potting mix.

GigiPlumeria said: Thank You! I wasn't sure how to answer that. I know I have a few that seem to be a cross of Arabicum and other species (e.g. Obesum) based on the texture of the leaves and the size of the blooms. Did your Adenium bloom?

@Aashna, just realized the tall one has buds and based on the color of the buds could be white.

Got it regarding cross species Smiling
Thanks Gigi. I am too banking upon white . Smiling :hearts:

should I wait for the buds to bloom or prune right away after repotting( as kaktus suggested , waiting for few days after repotting as well)

What is the cost of hybrids at your place approximately? If you don't mind sharing

40% potting mix will have only soil ?
If not organic matter then what does it have ? Organic matter will be tree barks, compost etc right

I always want to wait until I see the blooms first but that would be up to you.

I bought them the same price as other adeniums. I don't think big box stores here price it differently. So my Arabicum Obesum Fineline was $29 (seedgrown).

So I pruned some today and some in late December.

These were trimmed today, I will probably have to center this when it warms up.

I just noticed that the December ones are now sprouting with buds on short branches. So they clearly have a headstart:

This was pruned in October going to dormancy. I could see the recovery is slower.

Also just an observation. The succulents on the pots seemed to have helped take the excess water if any. Probably prevented my desert roses from rotting when they got some
rain showers during cooler temps.

Hmm maybe you can buy seeds and grow your own. That could be a business opportunity for you.

Happy Valentine's Day, sorry for the blurry photo but sun is too bright right now. But my desert rose bloomed just like a real red Valentine's rose.

3 buds are open but hard to take photo of all 3! Lovey dubby

Quite time. My desert roses are starting to wake up! Yaaay!

I have to keep myself from overwatering!

There were issues with uploading photos. But you can upload Hulk's photos in the database. That works!

This is another example of suckers try to take over the grafted scion, I thought it was still 'hot girl', until I see the flower

What is this mentality of suckers. They don't let grafted grow well. I liked your step son elaboration of suckers Kaktus Big Grin

I feel Hulk was not producing buds and growth was somewhat different untill I removed two big sucker branches . Now it's producing buds and blooming as well. Recovering slowly
