I have found that coffee, tea, and rose can all agree on one thing... water everyday.

Yaaay finally! We get to see the fully opened blooms and seems like normal blooms to me with no hint of virus.

This cute little Adenium (best I could tell is seed grown not graft) has tiny leaves. This is the smallest bloom i've seen only less than an inch but a beautiful bloom :hearts:

What a difference in color, Violeta Flora's winter blooms:

And the first blooms in August 2021 when I first bought it. I love this color I purchased 3 of these.

I think it is for the same reason we like seed grown although the blooms of grafted are appealing. And this is seed grown.

I rescued 8 of these at 50%. They are so short but with big caudex and small blooms.

@Kaktus or @deepsouth any idea what type of Adenium are these? As far as I can tell, these are seed grown.

Thumb of 2022-01-24/GigiPlumeria/0ca0f4

The tiny bloom is from the little one with all yellow leaves (now bald). I rescued 3 more but they are still in the car since it will be too cold tonight and they are wet.

The middle one is full of buds but is getting dormant:

The red one is still blooming today, the blooms are slightly bigger:

no idea ...sometimes the fully open flower colors (and color patterns) will help in determining species ....but, in most cases, wont be possible if plant has been grafted ....

Will wait till the blooms open. These are "seedgrown", no visible graft on all 8.

My Adeniums still asleep, overwintered indoors, and kept dry.

I saw this video: Complete Guide to Growing Adeniums. Quite informative video and I like the tips shared there. Good to confirm what I have been doing is okay. Big Grin

"Fineline", my arabicum hybrid, seed grown is doing that. I thought because it is in a very small pot, and I had been fertilizing it.

Why do you say it needs attention? Is it a sign of something bad or something good?

Yikes! It is going to be really cold for us in FL, with lows in the 30s.

Joseph I agree especially anywhere below 30s!

And even knowing the forecast I still rescued these from the clearance racks. Didn't realize they were slight wet and left them in the car then garage for a few days. I could have had them dry out before these cold nights. They are sun bathing now on our lanai to see if they can at least dry out before tonight's 30s!

@deepsouth these are damp but not too wet…I will bring them in the garage tonight but wondering if I should uproot these 3 desert roses or leave in damp soil.

All huddled closer to the house for a few days of bone chilling weather. They get direct sun for a few hours during the day, then cold at night. It is windy too. Hoping that the direct warm sun on them during the day will help them at night.

pulling plants out of pots will not protect against freezing .... as adenium are succulents ...and succulents hold water ...if the water in the stems or caudex freezes, it means the death of the plant .....

covering with a loose tarp ...or placing in a non-enclosed area will not help either ...

place plants in a closed off space ..... if not inside the house ...a closed garage ....

may want to consider enclosing your lanai by hanging heavy duty plastic floor to ceiling .... 6 mil thick will work ...and wont get easily shredded by the wind ....use black plastic - clear tends to shred itself when exposed to sunlight

ranchers & farmers have a neat trick to keep their well-heads from freezing ..... by enclosing the well-head - and - its above ground plumbing in a box ....the box is about the size of a large doghouse ...with a light-bulb inside and an extension cord to outside socket ...the heat given off by one standard light-bulb will keep things from freezing ....

have pitched tents a number of times - same idea as doghouse ...... set up a tent with a light-bulb inside hanging near center and near the ceiling of tent wall - but not touching the top or sides ...zip up windows then load tent up with plants ....turn on light then zip up tent
