Val, yours looks like it could be a bouquet on a stem.

Caroline - you were reading my mind I took this pic this morning and wished the name 'Bouquet' hadn't been used already (8 times in fact) We had about 3 inches of rain over night so it's not looking its best but these are two stems and 12 side buds between them OMG


No support is needed as the stems are tree trunks but also they are single so don't weigh much when soaked

Well Karen - you were quite right about it looking like Tranquil Dove! Although no genetic link, they bloomed a day apart this year and here is a pair of Tranquil Dove blooms followed by that seedling - with a more pronounced edge this year:

Very quiet here - let's see some more. Here's a few from my garden this year.

This is another try at Rockii seeds and is much hardier than my others.



Although this one has tons of side buds, it is very short so no support required




This is another Lemon Chiffon seedling - an amazing pale peach colour.

Jasmin - sorry - this one is not a rockii seedling, but it is first year bloom from sowing 5 years ago (I don't baby my seeds )

These below are first blooms of a couple of the rockii hybrids that are growing in a very exposed spot and never seem to get frost damage like my others





They are out of 2018 APS seed - Gansu Rockii hybrids

This year, for the first time, I found two or more seedlings. That is, I found two seedlings for sure. I know that because I had to move them. One of them was just developing the roots and seed leaves when I pooled it out. The seed was still attached. The second had a long tap root. Probably in its second or third year already.

There are also three more small TP in my garden. I am not sure if they are seedlings though. I tried to transplant one of them, which was not doing very well, just to find out that it wasn't a seedling, but a shoot, practically a sucker growing good two feet from the mother plant, Rockii Snow Lotus

That is why I must not try to move the remaining two. I will let them grow and monitor them. The two seedlings are doing well in a big pot

Well two seedlings is better than none Too bad you couldn't move them to a spot in the garden I think even temporary garden spots are better than pots.

Agree, but there is no room where they can grow. I will bring the big pot in the porch during winter, and hopefully, they will be a bit stronger next year, strong enough to plant them in the garden

Lemon Chiffon just keeps giving and giving (good seedlings) this year! Sadly I will have to wait about another 5 years for the next batch of LC seedlings to bloom
