@Dave, Alex made a post a while ago about the custom watermark not dropping a text bar after selecting it, as would happen before the update. It appears it still isn't working. Forgive me if this is already on your mind, I just wanted to make sure his post hadn't escaped your attention due to the many posts being made everyday in the thread.

Yes, thank you for reminding me. As far as I know that's the only current high priority issue that still needs to be fixed.

Dave, in the gardening dictionary, there is some sort of small blank column after "Term" & "Definition."

Thank you Dave, for all the fabulous tech-magic you do here!! Honestly, I'm more interested on how in the world these weird things happen (i.e. weird photo rotation.... DB stuff) more than how you fixed them?!? Hilarious!
Anyways, thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Regarding the photo rotation.... phones store the camera's orientation inside the photo itself. There is a data format for images called Exif that inside of which is stored all kinds of information like the latitude/longitude of where the photo was taken, when it was taken, and whether it was in vertical or horizontal when the photo was taken. When you upload the photo, my software reads that exif data. 10 years ago I wrote code to read that Exif data and reposition the photos so they always appeared correct.

With my new server update, apparently the software library I use to do that automated repositioning has changed. My task now is to determine what changed in that codebase and alter the Garden.org codebase to accommodate the changes, and then the photos will no longer be sideways. Smiling

Dave, something weird is going on with photo uploads - there's been a few uploaded to the DB that are blank recently and just now two more are empty. Plus an image in a treemail from another user failed to load, too.
