Forgot that this is actually in variegated forum... *Blush*
But the spotted one is a variegated foliage.
Leea zippeliana, green form and brownish-pink form.. The speckles are kind of fish bone look-a-like.

Zebrina has fuzzy leaves, you can help but feel them every time you walk by. The Exotica has burgundy undersides on the leaves.

The only plant I was unable to resist touching the leaves was mimosa pudica (aka "Tickle Me Plant", "Sensitive Plant" etc).

The leaves actually rapidly move away from you when you touch them! Creepy and amazing. The seeds are cheap to buy online. I highly recommend it as a fun experiment (kids love it).

Leea zippeliana is new to me. I love the leaf pattern, Tofi.
Sherri, your calatheas look very happy. Mine need a refresh but they should be happy eventually.

I have this Anthurium I grew from seed. It is a hybrid of Anthurium forgetii and most probably Anthurium besseae x magnificum. It it the ONLY one out of the entire crop that has these round pancake shape leaves.

In fact, its so strange...it looks almost exactly like another hybrid plant that has been around for a bit....Anthurium 'Silver Blush'. Silver Blush is a Crystallinum hybrid. As far as I know, mine has no crystallinum parentage. But here it is, me holding it up in front of my Silver Blush.

I know my Silver Blush cannot be involved in this, because it has never bloomed yet LOL.

Very cool pancake with broad bones. Hopefully it will have even more huge mature leaves compared to silver blush, and a peltate one, with a dominant forgettii feature.

I have one forgettii x magnificum, the leaves are quite large, and peltate, but the peltate part always protrude to front, some what obscure the feature unless you look closely, and the bones not so prominent. I wish in the future by seed propagation one of the descendent will be of my preference.

Tofi I have a ton of forgetii seedlings, so far, this is the ONLY one that has made a truly peltate leaf. But I have hopes that some will later. It took this one to get to a relatively large size as a seedling

Love that one, the peltate is very clear.
I seen most forgettii and their hybrid almost always start sagitate, so Crossing Fingers! I'm sure you'll get so many interesting variant.

waht is peltate? Is it when the leaf lobes cover and connect over the petiole?

Peltate and sagittate refers to the insertion of petiole to the leaf blades
Yes, peltate means the insertion point of the petiole is inside the leaf blade (laminae), distance from the margin, in other word the posterior part fuse and cover the petiole inside the blade, and the leaf appear like a shield (pelta=shield).
while sagitate is when the insertion of petiole is in the margin of the leaf blade, often with the base pf leaf blade made a curve creating posterior lobe, and leaves appear like an arrow (sagitta=arrowhead)

Sagittate is very common among aroid, while peltate somewhat uncommon, and this feature made any peltate species or hybrids become bit special

I got this at a trade/sale we had here recently. Colocasia 'Pharoah's Mask'. It starts out plain, then starts to do this raised vein thing, eventually the leaf margin curves totally back toward the petiole. This leaf has a ways to go for that though
